As a Recovery Operations Engineer in the Reusability Program, you define and mature the CONOPS for post‑flight recovery, refurbishment, and return‑to‑flight of reusable launch vehicle elements. You enable safe, repeatable, and cost‑efficient reuse by embedding recovery and refurbishment considerations into vehicle design, ground operations, and long‑term fleet operability from the outset. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission

• Define and evolve recovery Concept of Operations (CONOPS), covering primary recovery scenarios as well as fallback scenarios, from landing through return‑to‑flight
• Evaluate and down‑select launch sites, landing zones, and ranges with respect to recovery feasibility, safety, and operations
• Specify and assess recovery ground support equipment (GSE), including cranes, transport frames, barges, and port infrastructure
• Define refurbishment and recycle processes, including inspection flows, repair scope, turnaround timelines, and reuse limits
• Drive maintainability and operability requirements into vehicle and system design
• Support integration and payload processing concepts where recovery impacts launch‑site operations
• Contribute to fleet and lifecycle management strategies, including inspection intervals and retirement criteria
• Develop and maintain operational cost models, including recovery, refurbishment, infrastructure, and reuse cost functions, and support cost estimation and trade studies to inform architectural and program‑level decisions 

Qualification Checklist 

Education & Technical Background 

• Engineering education in aerospace, mechanical, civil, naval, industrial, or a closely related field, or equivalent senior industry experience 
• Technical background in launcher ground operations plus recovery and refurbishment concepts for reusable launch vehicle hardware 
• Proven knowledge of transport, handling, lifting, storage, inspection, and repair of large aerospace hardware and associated ground support equipment
• Proven knowledge of large‑scale logistics and ground infrastructure as primary drivers of operability, cost, and turnaround time in a reusable launch vehicle fleet 

Experience 

• 5–10+ years in launch vehicle programs, recovery programs, or large‑scale aerospace hardware projects
• Direct involvement in designing and evaluating end‑to‑end CONOPS, covering recovery logistics, ground support equipment, refurbishment, maintainability, and return‑to‑flight
• Practical work with large ground support equipment and infrastructure, including recovery assets, lifting systems, transport solutions, hazardous substances supply systems and launch-site or port environments
• Hands-on exposure to launch vehicle or aircraft refurbishment and post‑operation processing, including inspection strategies, repair scope definition, structural and systems assessments, and reuse or return‑to‑service considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to assess how recovery and ground operations concepts drive launcher architecture, interfaces, access requirements, and design margins
• Proven involvement in operational trade studies, addressing feasibility, cost drivers, turnaround time, and risk across alternative recovery and refurbishment approaches

Skills & Competencies 

• Ability to architect recovery and refurbishment CONOPS that are technically executable and scale with fleet growth 
• Strong judgement balancing launcher design, ground support equipment capability, logistics constraints, safety, cost, and schedule
• Deep practical knowledge of ground support equipment-driven constraints and their impact on recovery methods and launcher interfaces
• Clear command of maintainability and refurbishment drivers, including access, wear mechanisms, handling damage, and inspection effort
• Capability to challenge launcher and ground design decisions based on operational realism rather than theoretical optimization
• Structured decision‑making under uncertainty, grounded in experience with real hardware, infrastructure, and field operations
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)

Mission Brief 

The Manufacturing Engineer CAD will hold responsibility for CAD related topics in the Production Engineering team and will check the readiness for production of parts, assemblies, and methods. Further, you will define respective assembly and test jigs as well as Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, regarding technical support, striving for best-in-class products and business practices. Building a rocket, we have the following key production processes: additive manufacturing, CNC turning and milling, assembly processes, carbon fibre composites, electronics manufacturing and welding. Some of the processes are fully automated. Our machine park includes only the most advanced and latest machinery and equipment. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Check models, assemblies and manufacturing methods and challenge possible difficulties before production release 
• Approach colleagues in charge for the respective manufacturing methods to ensure technical feasibility and highest quality standards from early on 
• Support engineers to design components in accordance to internal manufacturing constraints and standards 
• Ongoing support in improvement of more efficient manufacturing and automization 
• Design equipment such as mounting fixtures, cleaning fixtures, or similar (Create CAD models and drawings) 
• Design and Implement Ground Support Equipment such as Jigs (Create CAD models and drawings, end-to-end from quote to build up and integration checks) 
• Create Manufacturing Bill of Material (mBOM) and Bill of Process (BOP)

Qualification Checklist

Mission Brief 

We deliver the half of the rocket that stays on the ground. As a Senior Ground Fluid Systems Engineer at Isar Aerospace, you deliver the ground fluid infrastructure required for safe, reliable, and rapid test and launch of the Spectrum rocket. This includes test-rigs for development, qualification, and acceptance of launch vehicle and propulsion systems as well as entire launch bases. You work hand-in-hand with Propulsion and Launch Vehicle development teams to translate their requirements into functional designs and concepts of operations. You tackle complex engineering challenges across multiple projects and phases – from concept to detail design, execution, commissioning, and handover to site owner and operator.

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Design fluid systems for test and launch facilities, including rocket engine test-rigs, structure pressurization test-rigs, integrated stage testing rigs, launch pads, etc.
• Perform sizing calculations and/or numerical simulations for fluid systems, including cryogenic propellants storage, conditioning, and distribution systems, high-pressure gas distribution and pressurization systems, etc.
• Select and procure suitable fluid hardware, including tanks, pumps, heat-exchangers, valves, pressure regulators, safety-valves, instrumentation, etc.
• Prepare technical documentation, such as PFDs and P&IDs, hardware lists, datasheets, technical notes etc. that serve as a basis for manufacturing planning and execution
• Lead and contribute to system design reviews and risk assessments
• Act as a technical point of contact and subject matter expert for the project and operation teams, consulting on fluid system questions and decisions 
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to structuring and expanding knowledge in the team with guidelines, checklists, processes, presentations, etc.
• Depending on interest and experience: 
  - lead or support factory and site acceptance tests for fluid systems
  - lead or participate in commissioning planning and hands-on site operations
  - support test and launch campaigns on-site or remotely with operations or data analyses.

Qualification Checklist 

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in aerospace, mechanical, process/energy/chemical engineering or an equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in aerospace, oil & gas, energy, chemical industry, engineering service provider or similar
• In-depth experience in the design and/or operation of high-pressure gas and cryogenic liquid systems, ideally, in the context of rocket testing and launching facilities -    Experience with design and safety analyses and reviews, including HAZOPs
• Expert knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics and their application to real hardware like valves, regulators, etc.
• Strong analytical skills and able to apply theoretical knowledge to find practical solutions to complex fluid mechanic and/or thermodynamic engineering problems
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and technical regulations which are common in plant engineering (e.g. ASME, ISO, DIN EN, PED, AD2000, ATEX)

• Modeling and simulation of fluid systems by means of software such as EcosimPro, Python/Matlab script, and/or CFD
• Hands-on experience with fluid systems, e.g., assembly of piping systems, participating in commissioning or testing operations, etc.

This role reports to the Field Service Engineering Manager.  We are looking to hire someone currently located in Germany. Proximity to southern Germany—particularly around Nuremberg, Regensburg, or Ansbach, including areas closer to the eastern border—is preferred but not required.

You will work closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and reliable.

• Partner with manufacturing engineering to improve process stability, yield, and defect reduction.
• Participate in internal and supplier quality audits and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Support supplier quality activities and collaborate with supply chain teams to improve supplier performance.

Mission Brief 

You will be responsible for the structural analysis of entire assemblies belonging to our rocket’s primary and secondary structures. From trading design concepts to sizing and validating design iterations and examining the impact of manufacturing deviations, you will play an important role in guiding design decisions and pushing performance and reliability of our structures forward. 

As a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer you will play a major role in improving our overall analysis and verification workflow by defining standards, sharing technical knowledge and reviewing your colleagues’ results and identifying action points. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Perform detailed stress analysis of aerospace structures and components using both classical hand calculations and advanced finite element methods (FEM), mostly of CFRP structures
• Identify failure scenarios and collaborate with design engineers to review and optimize structural designs  
• Analise and provide possible solutions to manufacturing non-conformities
• Develop test plans and support physical testing of components to verify sizing assumptions and qualify hardware.  
• Prepare comprehensive stress analysis reports and documentation for internal/external use
• Improve our standards and toolchain for structural verification
• Be familiar with classical design standards and have experience in the use of CAD software
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team 

Qualification Checklist 

• Degree in the field of Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical or (Computational) Mechanics, or any other related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in analysing aerospace structures
• Profound knowledge in classical hand-calculations and advanced FE Modelling of aerospace structures (Hypermesh, Optistruct etc)
• High degree of independence and confidence in assessing and trading design risks
• Strong engineering intuition with regards to load paths and failure mechanisms
• Holistic perspective on development of structures
• Fluent English

Mission Brief 

As a Propulsion Test Engineer you will join a team of engineers and technicians performing development, qualification and acceptance tests of subcomponents of liquid rocket engines and integrated subsystems of our Spectrum rocket. You will participate in test operations at the production site in Ottobrunn (Bavaria, Germany) and at the test site in Reischach (Bavaria, Germany) for gas generators, subscale chambers and turbopumps. In addition to test operations, you will conduct maintenance activities and upgrades on the existing test rigs, as well as designing and building test set-ups to cover ad-hoc needs. You will work in tight-knit teams to ensure safe and efficient operations, while closely cooperating with the design engineers to enable fast iterations and timely delivery of hardware.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Operational Safety Engineer to take a leading role in shaping and driving operational safety at Vay.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of operational safety for Vay’s remote driving operations globally, while building on an existing foundation and working closely with a strong cross-functional team across Operations, Engineering, Training, and Safety Management. As part of the Launch Vehicle AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely integration activities. In addition, you will be participating in the change management process and work together with relevant stakeholders to drive up key performance indicators (KPIs) and follow-up on non-conformities. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission

• Create, maintain, and optimize the launch vehicle AIT workflows
• Manage operational interfaces of the launcher integration team like the Testing, Logistics or Quality Assurance teams.

Mission Brief 

As a Mission Analyst in the Reusability Program, you model and optimize ascent, reentry, and recovery concepts for our next‑generation launcher. Initially supporting ESA reusability studies, you translate Spectrum test insights into mission‑level performance assessments and constraints. You run trajectory optimization and Monte Carlo analyses to de‑risk key design choices. Your results directly inform vehicle architecture, flight‑dynamics decisions, and broader program planning.

Mission Brief 

As part of the AGNC Test team, you will move horizontally across the design teams. You will be responsible for the selection and qualification of our launch vehicle Spectrum’s sensors, while maintaining the corresponding interfaces across the departments. Furthermore, you will work with all design teams to select and integrate sensor components, define operative procedures, and test the equipment before and after the integration into Spectrum.

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Be the focal point for all instrumentation on Spectrum
• Support all design teams in the selection and qualification of sensors

The Role 

The Senior Systems Software Engineer will be a member of the core team building the Quantum Key Distribution system. The focus is on high-performance Python services on Linux, algorithm optimization and acceleration (also via hardware offload), and the role spans defining software architecture, integrating with FPGA/embedded subsystems, and turning requirements into reliable, observable software.  

The Senior Systems Software Engineer leads and co-owns the overall internal QKD software architecture and client-facing software API. By setting engineering standards, mentoring, and unblocking delivery, they ensure predictable releases and a strong execution cadence. 

The Responsibilities 

The Senior Systems Software Engineer should expect to work in the following activities. 

• System architecture
  • Leading and co-owning the QKD software architecture: control plane services, key sifting/postprocessing integration, configuration management, monitoring, and external interfaces 
  • Defining module boundaries and service APIs; evolving the system toward clear data/control-plane separation 

• Efficient implementation and hardware/software integration

The role also sets engineering discipline for FPGA development and mentors a junior engineer. 

The Senior FPGA Developer owns the FPGA architecture/codebase and collaborates closely with embedded/software to define clean contracts, ensure reliable bring‑up, and deliver reproducible, versioned bitstreams. 

The Responsibilities 

The Senior FPGA Developer should expect to work in the following activities. 

• RTL architecture, interfaces, and rather high-speed datapaths
  • Owning SystemVerilog RTL architecture/implementation for Artix‑7 and Kintex UltraScale (SystemVerilog, Vivado)

Mission Brief 

As part of the Launch Vehicle AIT team, you will be interfacing all Launch Vehicle system owners. You will be responsible for ensuring a coherent testing strategy within the department, test rig functionality, and scale existing or develop new test rigs to meet future testing demands. Furthermore, you are going to be part of the unit, system, and launch vehicle testing.

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Develop new test rigs for electronic equipment according to requirements and in alignment with system or unit owners and commission them
• Maintain or upgrade existing test rigs with changing specifications
• Increase the automation of testing across all test rigs
• Identify bottle necks in current testing workflows and used test rigs and resolve them
• Create test plans for units and systems and correlate them with their requirements
• Conduct unit and system level functional testing before integration into Spectrum
• Conduct system and launcher level functional testing after the integration of avionics into Spectrum
• Ensure safe operation of all test rigs used during and after assembly of Spectrum
• Ensure a high standard of reporting of conducted tests across the launch vehicle AIT team

Qualification Checklist 

• BSc/MSc in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Strong hands-on experience with PLCs or similar automation equipment
• Experience in designing, commissioning, and using test rigs
• Extensive experience with troubleshooting and debugging electrical cabinets, wiring, and instrumentation common to the aerospace/automation industry
• Extensive experience with automation of testing and interconnection of test equipment via analog or digital interfaces (RS422/485, Ethernet, USB, etc.)

Mission Brief

Your Role in Our Space Mission

• Develop analytical and empirical models to perform comprehensive rotodynamic analyses, including stability and critical speed mapping (Campbell diagrams). Refine such models based on test data.
• Design and validate bearing configurations in cryogenic applications, drive continuous improvement for rotating system reliability and analyze bearing health through test data and hardware inspections.
• Develop, analyze, and validate dynamic seal concepts (e.g., labyrinth seals, brush seals, face contact seals) for performance, wear, and leakage criteria.
• Lead seal and bearing development test campaigns, including planning, instrumentation definition, execution oversight, and data interpretation.
• Collaborate with test facility responsibles to ensure proper test setup.
• Collaborate with structural mechanics team for turbopump rotor related investigations. · 
• Maintain the top-level turbopump CAD assembly, lead release of manufacturing drawings, and define rotor balancing strategies.
• Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and external suppliers to ensure system reliability and quality.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decision-making forums.

Qualification Checklist 

• M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar.
• Exceptional knowledge in rotor dynamics and professional experience with Timoshenko finite element rotor dynamic models as well as commercial rotor dynamic analysis software.
• Strong understanding of bearing systems, material behavior, tribology and bearing failure modes, preferably in cryogenic applications.
• Strong knowledge about dynamic seals in rocket engine turbopumps.
• Demonstrated experience in development testing, instrumentation, and data evaluation.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (SolidWorks or Siemens NX preferred) and PDM/PLM systems.
• Effective collaborator in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams, organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Mission Brief 

You will be responsible for defining the thermal environment and architecture of the vehicle, ranging from detailed thermal modeling and system level coupled loads analyses and to active and passive thermal control design. You will be in charge of the development, execution, and correlation of thermal models using FEM/FDM/FVM tools and test data. • Perform Thermal Coupled Loads Analysis and develop detailed thermal models using FEM and/or FVM, FDM methods

• Review, assess, and approve component- and assembly-level designs for thermal flight readiness

• Being responsible for vibroacoustic instrumentation, including selection of the sensors, selection of the location and documentation.
• Vibroacoustic data processing from analysis, tests or flight and creation of environmental test specs.
• Supporting ground shock tests, modal tests, vibration tests including test planning, instrumentation selection etc.
• Being responsible for vibration & shock isolator selection and any other applicable vibration reduction means and supporting the validation tests of the designs.
• Managing qualification status of the units for vibration and shock. Mission Brief 

The task of a Senior Fluid System Engineer is to oversee the development of complex subsystems of the fluid system, for their initial conception, to series production and operation. This includes the management of requirements, design calculations & simulations, CAD modelling, drawing creating, manufacturing organization, acceptance & qualification test planning, test operations, test evaluation & documentation. About the Role 

As an Operations Senior Engineer, you are responsible for all electrical and mechanical assets in the data center. Because the data center is a highly critical environment, the stakes are high and you will have an important stake in the fulfilling of the Yondr operational tasks.
To enable you to fulfil this responsibility, you will be involved in the design and acceptance of new data centers, defining the maintenance regime for your assets, approving operational procedures for the maintenance and incident management as well as auditing the completion 
thereof. To ensure optimal functioning of your assets, you will lead and approve root cause analysis and improvements after incidents happen, as well as propose improvements to optimise the functioning of your assets. For the implementation of these improvements, you will 
act as project owner and oversee the completion of the project. 

Main Responsibilities 

/ Ensure Building maintains 100% uptime using all reasonable means and methods to achieve, taking into consideration Health & Safety and financial obligations but still keeping focus on client SLAs and KPI’s
/ Be overall responsible for all Electrical / Mechanical aspects of site 
/ Responsible for the life cycle management of all assets
/ Responsible for the onsite lead of RCAs, single point of failure analysis, site risk register management in collaboration with regional design & engineering teams
/ Write technical specifications and reports

Join our team to bring next-generation RF sensor products from concept to reliable, scalable production. As a Senior Systems Engineer I, you will own the hardware lifecycle for RF-based counter-drone detection systems, working across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and certification. • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of RF sensor hardware, from early prototypes through production ramp and sustaining support.

Mission Brief 

As a Senior Propulsion Test Engineer you will join a team of engineers and technicians performing development, qualification and acceptance tests of subcomponents of liquid rocket engines and integrated subsystems of our Spectrum rocket. You will participate and lead test operations at the production site in Ottobrunn (Bavaria, Germany) and at the test site in Reischach (Bavaria, Germany) for gas generators, subscale chambers and turbopumps. • Close cooperation and alignment with Customer Support to enable a closed loop system on key/top technical and product related issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, especially with top area installer accounts
• Lead engagement with customers on application of ESS systems and with evaluation and teaming with partners for balance of system equipment providers, software/EMS integration and EPC.
• Development of technical documentation to support portfolio of ESS products including technical specifications, manuals, safety certifications, and technical diligence proposals

Requirements:

• Working closely with sales team to determine appropriate prioritization of account/project opportunities relative to available technical resources and ensure close coordination and communication with the customer
• Leading and managing tasks in the technical pipeline to ensure that all identified/qualified projects get the proper and appropriate level of pre-sales design and technical support
• Working with China based R&D, design and pre-sales technical support process to ensure proactive participation with technical teams on test requirements, procedures, and plans to ensure ESS products are prepared and positioned to 'win' the business / Working closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless integration of battery systems into larger products or systems. Participating in design reviews, meetings, and discussions to exchange ideas, provide technical expertise, and gather feedback.
• Leading and collaborating closely with Product Management on broad based technical tools and training and drive adoption through the sales team, partners and distributors
• Acting as sales focal point for input/feedback into product management on major product and technical issues and recommended solutions
• Managing closed loop process with product management, customer support and sales on all field pre-sales related topics and issues BSEE, BSME or MS preferred (including practical experience with distributed PV solar and energy storage system application)
• 2-5 years of experience in ESS engineering/design technical pre-sales support and project managemen
• Strong knowledge of cerification and regulatory codes for ESS installations and development
•  Willingness to travel (international)
• Fluent in English (German and/or Chinese is a plus)
