MongoDB's Application Modernization Platform (AMP) team aims to grow the adoption of MongoDB by accelerating the rate at which legacy applications built on RDBMS can be modernized to MongoDB. The AMP team uses a combination of proprietary GenAI and deterministic tools combined with modernization techniques (methodologies) developed over numerous customer engagements to modernize legacy applications to MongoDB. This involves modernizing both the application tier by decomposing the legacy application into services and building modern services on MongoDB. Our modernization methodologies involve apply specialized tools that automate a wide variety of modernization tasks including analyzing legacy code bases to figure out how to disaggregate them, transforming legacy code (PL/SQL, T-SQL, Java, C#) to modern application frameworks on MongoDB, automated test generation, and side-by-side testing (legacy vs. modern).
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to support the sales and delivery of modernization engagements. Candidates must be located in North America near an airport that will enable them to easily visit customer sites in North America or Europe.
This role will be based remotely in Ireland.
Roles Responsibilities
- Ideally 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer facing role, with 5 to 7 years of experience in pre-sales with enterprise software
- Minimum of 3 years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional capacity
- Experience with modern software development processes and application architectures including (not an exhaustive list): agile development, domain driven design, microservice architectures, test-driven development, event-driven architectures, operational data layers, test automation, etc.
- Experience designing with scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem
- Facilitate technical workshops and discovery sessions with customer architects, developers, and business leaders
- Experience installing and delivering complex demonstrations consisting of multiple applications deployed on Docker and Github Codespaces
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and business concepts in a clear and compelling manner to technology and business leadership
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and provide recommendations on how to drive a multi-threaded account strategy, aligning other MongoDB and ecosystem resources to move towards a mutually beneficial account plan
- The ability to travel up to 25%
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Notre équipe Transport&Customs Engineering recherche un·e ingénieur.e développement logiciel backend basé·e à Lille.
Au cœur de Value Chain et rattaché à Decathlon Digital, les équipes united du sous domaine Fulfillment, Logistics, Transport and Customs (FLTC) ont un rôle très important à jouer avec un impact direct sur l’expérience client à travers la disponibilité de nos produits et les délais de livraison.
Notre équipe Transport&Customs Engineering design, développe et assure la maintenance de nos outils digitaux interconnectés avec un écosystème Decathlon complexe qui permet la gestion de la chaîne de valeur de bout en bout. Ces outils sont réparti sur deux périmètres :
Transport : plusieurs produits digitaux pour gérer le transport international (upstream) et les flux de transport locaux (downstream) de nos produits et composants. Ces produits digitaux interviennent depuis nos fournisseurs jusqu’au client final.Customs : Des outils digitaux pour les douanes permettant le référencement de nos produits et composants, le calcul des taux et la génération des documents douaniers ainsi que les opérations de déclaration et dédouanement à la sortie/entrée d’une zone douanière.
TA FUTURE MISSION
Rejoignez l'équipe Douane - Référentiel! Historiquement basée sur des outils monolithiques (Legacy) générant une complexité de référencement et une forte imprévisibilité des coûts à payer en douane, nous sommes en pleine transformation. Notre vision est de créer une source intelligente et malléable à fin que notre référentiel soit une source de vérité unique. L'utilisation de l'IA pour l'auto-classification et l'optimisation dynamique des droits de douane, transformera la douane à Decathlon et fera de la conformité, un levier stratégique de compétitivité.
Pour répondre à ces challenges, tout en permettant la croissance du business de Decathlon, nous cherchons à renforcer l’équipe produit Ref&Calcul par un développeur backend/fullstack expérimenté qui va travailler avec le reste de l’équipe et en se référant au inputs business pour développer from scratch la solution de référencement des produits et composants et de calcul des taux de douanes. Il sera aussi amené à faire du support niveau 3 sur des solutions existantes et de celles qu’il développera.

What you’ll do
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead Doctolib’s Core Backend team, ATP, which manages the backend foundations for Doctolib.
ATP is part of the Platform domain, whose mission is to build and maintain the common building blocks of our system with a "Platform as a Product" mindset. We abstract and simplify the use of these complex, critical components, enabling product teams to focus on their core mission: building products faster for healthcare professionals and patients.
At ATP, we concentrate specifically on our Ruby backend foundations, with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and usability. All Doctolib product teams rely on the foundations we provide, leveraging the components we build to accelerate their development while ensuring the highest standards of quality and security.
As an Engineering Manager, you will guide a team of talented engineers, foster a culture of technical excellence, and help shape the future of Doctolib’s backend platform. Your work will ensure that our engineers and data scientists can train, evaluate, and deploy AI models efficiently on high-quality, well-structured, and compliant data.

- Ensure high standards of data quality for AI model inputs.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for AI and machine learning use cases.
- Implement data ingestion and transformation frameworks that power Retrieval systems and training datasets for LLMs and multimodal models.
- Architect and manage NoSQL and Vector Databases to store and retrieve embeddings, documents, and model inputs efficiently.
- Collaborate with ML and platform teams to define data schemas, partitioning strategies, and governance rules that ensure privacy, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate unstructured and structured data sources (text, speech,image, documents, metadata) into unified data models ready for AI consumption.
- Optimize performance and cost of data pipelines using GCP native services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI).
- Contribute to data quality and lineage frameworks, ensuring AI models are trained on validated, auditable, and compliant datasets.
- Continuously evaluate and improve our data stack to accelerate AI experimentation and deployment.
Who you are

- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ideally supporting AI or ML workloads.

What you’ll do

As an Engineering Manager, you will guide a team of talented engineers, foster a culture of technical excellence, and help shape the future of Doctolib’s backend platform. You will be both a technical leader and a people manager, coaching and training your team members while building an amazing engineering organization at Doctolib. In this role, you will:
- Ensure business objectives are met as a team, by driving growth and performance of each team member;
- Together with your product partner, define a mission, vision for your team, align on a clear roadmap to make it happen, and be the end-to-end owner of the team’s delivery and quality;
- Participate in code reviews and be hands-on if required;
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to up-level our engineering team;
- Set standards and exceed security, reliability, performance and scalability requirements that are needed to continue to be the most trusted e-health SaaS;

- Our solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to the country and healthcare specialty requirements. Who you are

You could be our next team mate if you:
- You have at least 8+ years of software engineering experience and 4+ years of management experience
- You are eager to stay technically close to the work (architecture, reviews, occasional hands-on).
- We use Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin, Typescript, React. Prior Ruby/Rails experience is welcome but not required, we value strong backend engineering fundamentals and the ability to ramp up.
- You understand the value of testing your code;
- Have proven experiences developing efficient, maintainable and secure products;
- Are comfortable speaking English in your day by day with the team.
Now, it would be fantastic if you:
- Have already experience leading Platform initiatives;
- Have a great understanding of cloud infrastructures (tweak kube config for pitchfork, investigate auto scaling improvements, increase monitoring & SLOs, ...) and security topics (rate limiting)
- French fluency is a plus
