Senior Data & AI Consultant

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Consultant for our Data & AI practice to lead transformative digital initiatives powered by the Microsoft ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Dataverse, who can translate complex data challenges into strategic business outcomes. You will architect and implement modern data platforms, guide clients on AI readiness, and mentor teams on leveraging the full Microsoft stack to enable advanced analytics, data governance, and intelligent automation.

Position Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise-grade data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Power BI, ensuring scalable, secure, and performant architectures.
Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines leveraging Dataflows, Notebooks, and Pipelines within Fabric, enabling unified data ingestion and transformation across diverse data sources.
Build semantic data models and design data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses for analytics, AI, and operational reporting.
Deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions, from dataset modeling to DAX optimization and interactive visual storytelling.
Provide strategic consulting on data modernization, AI enablement, and governance frameworks (e.g., Purview), aligning technical execution with business goals.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, promoting best practices in data engineering, solution architecture, and Microsoft platform adoption.
Act as a subject matter expert on the Microsoft Cloud Data Platform, staying current with updates across Fabric, Power BI, Synapse, and Azure OpenAI.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
4+ years hands-on experience with the Microsoft Data & AI stack (Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SQL, Dataverse).
Proven success designing and delivering modern data platforms within Microsoft environments, integrating structured and unstructured data for analytics and AI.
Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), T-SQL, and Python for advanced data modeling and transformation.
Familiarity with Fabric’s OneLake, Data Activator, and Copilot integrations for automating data insights.
Experience implementing data governance and security via Microsoft Purview and Entra ID (Azure AD).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a visionary Solution Architect with deep expertise in Generative AI to lead the design and delivery of intelligent solutions using the Microsoft Azure AI stack. You will work closely with our enterprise clients to architect and implement cutting-edge AI applications powered by Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, LangChain, LangGraph, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about transforming business processes through large language models (LLMs), multi-agent orchestration, and scalable AI infrastructure.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud solution architecture, with a strong focus on generative AI.
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and LangGraph.
• Deep understanding of LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, and RAG architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud-native development.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure Functions, Azure AI Search, Azure Storage, and containers in Azure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

About the Role:

As a member of the Smart Roadside team, your mission will be to create and enhance Drivewyze applications to meet the current and future needs of our customers as part of a talented team of Software Developers, QA, Product Managers, and other internal partners.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be involved in maintaining and expanding existing applications, plus design and developing of new applications, building on, and expanding the Drivewyze ecosystem to meet current requirements and addressing future challenges we don’t even know about yet. This includes portal applications, back-end services, APIs, supporting tools, security and architectural changes.

Job Accountabilities:

Design, architect, develop, code and test applications on our servers and cloud platform. The following tech stacks are currently in use:

C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Postgres.

Elixir, Erlang, and Linux.

Develop, manage, maintain, and improve web APIs and microservices based on current cloud architecture applicable to the platform.

Apply industry best practices with your knowledge and expertise to execute an idea from concept to delivery as a member of a collaborative agile team.

Document design, architecture, and system integrations as required.

Explore, evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness for new and existing product ideas.

What you bring:

5+ years previous experience in application development including back-end services, mobile applications, and databases.
