MongoDB’s Developer Experience organization is responsible for ensuring developers across every major language ecosystem can use MongoDB seamlessly, intuitively, and idiomatically. We build and maintain the rich set of client libraries and integrations that serve as the primary interfaces to the database, spanning more than ten programming languages and frameworks.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager for Python Developer Experience who will champion MongoDB’s relationship with the Python community, ensuring Python developers and data scientists have the best possible experience using MongoDB. You’ll define the strategy and roadmap for our Python driver, integrations (such as with Django, Flask and FastAPI), and tooling, informed by the needs of the ecosystem. You’ll collaborate closely with a world-class, globally distributed engineering team, but your focus is outward: understanding and serving Python developers where they are.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, documentation, DevRel, and community teams to deliver a cohesive developer experience, and act as a champion for the Python ecosystem within MongoDB. You’ll stay ahead of trends, identify strategic opportunities, and make evidence-based decisions that drive adoption and delight.
As part of onboarding, you will build and document an application using MongoDB and a Python framework of your choice to gain firsthand insight into the developer experience. You’ll also engage directly with community forums, conferences, and open-source contributors to deepen your understanding, validate direction, and build trust with developers.

The ideal candidate for this role should have
- 3-5 years of product management experience with a track record of shipping developer-facing tools, integrations or APIs
- 3-5 years of commercial experience developing web applications in Python (the interviews for this position will include a live coding component meant to showcase your understanding of idioms, patterns, and evolving runtime environments) - including Django, FastAPI and Flask
- Experience with or exposure to Machine Learning and Data Science concepts and tools, including familiarity with common ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy), as well as an understanding of data pipelines and model deployment
- Experience with AI development, including familiarity with Python AI frameworks and libraries such as Langchain, Langgraph, or LlamaIndex for deploying and managing AI solutions
- Ability to communicate sophisticated technical concepts simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
- Ability to distill customer use cases and requirements, write comprehensive business cases and execute on them

Position Expectations

Success Measures
- In three months, you will have onboarded on the current MongoDB technologies & tools, and built an application with Python and MongoDB, putting it in public on Github; successfully triaged new issues with the engineering team, taken ownership of the existing roadmap and the product backlog; got to know the team (this team is globally distributed) and started building relationships inside the company
- In six months, you will have reviewed / refined existing user stories and JIRA issues, prioritized and started executing on them with your engineering team; you will have also researched new and existing markets, identified some new trends and started their exploration in a methodical way
- In nine months, you have produced at least two GA releases of tier 1 drivers or integrations, several service releases, delighted users with new/improved experiences (you’ll need to define your metrics to measure customer success with your deliverables as well), identified new opportunities & refined your roadmap, contributed to other projects, presented to customers, user groups, and conferences, and gained strong support of your team and other stakeholders

How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Amplify team builds the internal platforms, automation, and AI-driven systems that power how Klaviyos work every day. As an Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead one or more engineering teams and help shape the technical direction for internal tools and platforms that improve efficiency, automation, and productivity.
- Lead a portfolio of internal systems supporting Sales, Marketing, Customer Service & Success, R&D, and Finance, including AI-powered workflows, internal web applications, data and event pipelines, third-party integrations, and support tooling.

Who You Are:
- You are passionate about building software for the long term, balancing technical quality, delivery pace, and business impact.
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
- You have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience building and operating highly available, full-stack SaaS products, with a solid understanding of modern web architectures and scalable, multi-tenant systems.
- You have 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager, leading high-performing teams that deliver complex, cross-team initiatives using an agile, iterative approach.
- You are a technically curious leader with hands-on experience using modern AI tools and workflows (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, n8n) and an interest in helping teams apply them thoughtfully to improve productivity and outcomes.

Our salary range reflects the cost of labour in the country where the job post is advertised. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.
In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Amplify team builds the internal platforms, automation, and AI-driven systems that power how Klaviyos work every day. As an AI Software Engineer II on Amplify, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain internal products and platforms, including internal web applications, APIs, data and event pipelines, and AI-powered workflows used daily by Sales, Marketing, Customer Service & Success, R&D, and Finance teams. You will own features and small-to-medium projects end to end, from design through deployment and iteration.

Team Overview
As a Lead Software Engineer, Reliability, you will set technical direction and lead reliability strategy for Klaviyo’s most critical platforms. You’ll ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and sustainable while enabling rapid product development across the company.
We treat reliability as a core product feature. Our work spans security, infrastructure, and software engineering, requiring deep systems thinking and strong technical leadership. We build foundational services that must be extremely reliable, secure, and performant at global scale.
The SRE team’s charter is to design, build, and operate foundational infrastructure and services, define reliability standards, reduce operational toil through automation, and continuously improve systems based on production learnings. As a lead, your work will be highly visible and will directly influence how Klaviyo builds software and how customers experience our platform every day.
How you’ll make an impact
As a Lead Software Engineer, Reliability, you will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on with the systems that underpin Klaviyo’s reliability and operational excellence. You will:
- Set the technical vision and long-term strategy for reliability, availability, and operational excellence across critical platforms
- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of foundational, security-critical services with strong guarantees around availability, scalability, latency, and fault tolerance

JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for someone who has strong technical skills and understands website structures, but also is able to view projects from the lense of the end user. This person will be able to work with Product Managers, Project Managers, UX, Design, Technical Architecture and Developer teams to drive forward solutions that will work for the website and other channels.

Across the team we work with a variety of technologies; including Wagtail, NextJS, React, React Native, Python, Django, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce, VueJS, FHIR, Azure, GCP, Laravel, and other php frameworks and many more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Lead Product Manager to define the technical vision for the suite of websites;
- Lead on technical conversations as part of feature or functionality discovery balancing technical requirements and end user needs;
- Define and develop solutions in conjunction with other technical teams and Product teams;
- Contribute to the development, documentation and understanding of the project scope, objectives and technical feasibility involving all relevant stakeholders;
- Manage the Forms Engine product owning the strategy and vision and supporting internal stakeholders to operate;

How you’ll make an impact
As a Software Engineer on the Infrastructure Security team, you will build and operate the systems that help Klaviyo engineers ship secure software with confidence. You will:
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-native security services used across Klaviyo
- Own meaningful components and services end to end, from implementation through production operation
- Improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of infrastructure security systems
- Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture, contributing ideas and technical solutions
- Identify performance, reliability, and security issues in distributed systems and drive improvements
- Work extensively with technologies such as Python, Golang, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern data stores
- Participate actively in design reviews, code reviews, and whiteboarding sessions
- Contribute to operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Participate in an on-call rotation with a focus on learning, prevention, and reducing operational toil
- Build tooling, automation, and documentation that improve developer experience and security posture

Who you are
- You have solid experience building and operating cloud-native, distributed systems in production
- You are comfortable writing production-quality code in a language such as Python or Go
- You have hands-on experience with AWS (or a similar cloud provider) and understand managed services, networking, and IAM concepts
- You have experience working with containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- You are comfortable owning services and features independently, while knowing when to ask for feedback or support
- You understand the fundamentals of scalable, multi-tenant architectures and secure system design
- You care about reliability, performance, observability, and security—not just shipping features
- You are comfortable participating in on-call and responding to production issues
- You communicate clearly, collaborate well, and enjoy working through technical problems as a team
- You regularly use modern developer tooling, including AI-powered tools, to improve productivity and code quality

How you’ll make an impact:
The Infrastructure Security team builds the internal platforms, systems, and services that serve as the foundational building blocks for how our engineers build securely every day. As a Senior Software Engineer on Infrastructure Security, you will:
- Ship foundational security services to enable Klaviyo engineering to move faster with confidence
- Design and develop systems and processes that enable highly available & scalable systems
- Design, build and deliver software to dramatically improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Klaviyo’s services
- Achieve break-throughs in systems throughput by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks
- Leverage technology such as Python, Golang, AWS, Django, Kubernetes, Bash, Terraform, MySQL, Redis, Clickhouse, Iceberg, DataLake, Istio, Postgresql, and more to advance Klaviyo’s platform
