Production Accountant - Esports Events (6 Month Contract)

At the core is the Global Content Services team, the group responsible for operating the major League of Legends, Valorant, and Wild Rift competitive international tournaments, defining global policies for the sport, driving global narratives, and providing services to our regional leagues. Production Accountants at Riot are responsible for processing and managing the financial data related to live events (e.g., esports) and other production related projects.
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Production Finance, you will join our Global Content Services team to support live events and production related projects with cost management, tracking, and budget reconciliation.
This is a 6 month contract role and will help support upcoming esports events this role can be based from Dublin or London.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Line Producers, Production Managers, vendors, and other Riot teams to ensure accurate maintenance of forecasting, tracking, and reporting of production budgets.
- Track and categorize invoices and production costs using our production chart of accounts, providing accurate actuals and forecast updates.
- Create and distribute cost reports on a timely and regular basis.
- Create and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly financial reports and updates on a timely and regular basis.
- Identify and flag potential areas for budgetary risk or opportunity.
- Calculate/update cash flow pacing.
- Work with Riot’s purchasing team to set up vendors in our purchasing systems, request contracts, and issue invoices.
- Work with vendors and our Accounts Payable team to ensure Purchase Orders are paid in a timely manner.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of production accounting and/or finance experience.
- Strong ability to prioritize, be proactive, and be detail oriented.
- Proficient in the Google ecosystem (e.g., drive, docs, sheets).
- Experience with media budgeting software (e.g., move magic, media web, and showbiz).
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion.
Desired Qualifications:
- 8+ years of production accounting and/or finance experience.
- Former experience as a line producer.
- Experience in processing payroll and labor laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business-related field.

ACCOUNTANT (EMEA)

We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking an accountant for our Dublin office to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the company’s general ledger for the EMEA region.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily general ledger accounting, including bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation, posting, and review
- Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for EMEA entities, including but not limited to month-end accruals, prepayments, bank entries, VAT/GST, corporate tax, intercompany accounting, and any other required internal accounting
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, VAT, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, etc.)
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items on time
- Support the preparation of financial statements and flux analysis
- Assist with external audits (PBC schedules, audit support)
- Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and desktop procedures
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies (automations, system enhancements, etc.)
- Work with outsourced service providers for assigned countries in the process of preparing local accounting books if required by regulation; preparing local financial statements and liaising with local auditors to close the local subsidiary audits
- Support day-to-day finance operations in EMEA as required, and ad hoc finance projects as directed
- Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams (operations, policy, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, finance and tax) and other stakeholders
- Support new business launches, new initiatives and products and ongoing commercial operations as a specialist in areas where accounting technical advice is required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or business discipline
- 2+ years of combined accounting or audit experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience
- Finalist or recently qualified chartered accountant
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting
- Strong in IFRS and some knowledge of US GAAP
- Familiarity with financial statements preparation and review tools such as Workiva
- Detail oriented, organized, and efficient in work processes
- Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently
- Ability to work with global teams, strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a start-up type environment. Adaptability and flexibility is essential
- Ability to work to multiple tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas)
- Experience with major ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Workday, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
Performance Reporting, Analysis & Control
- Own the monthly management reporting pack, including preparation, analysis, and interpretation of variances to budget, with clear explanations for Business Managers and senior leadership.
- Conduct gross margin analysis by product line, segment, and customer to provide actionable insights and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
- Drive and monitor group efficiency initiatives and cost-saving programs.
- Review month-end operational costs and liaise with the financial accounting team to ensure accurate reporting.
- Review balance sheet positions with the financial accounting team to understand future risk and opportunity to the PnL.
- Support the shared services model where required.
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Prepare and present operational cost annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Forecast and review operational variable costs, maintaining accurate models to support business decisions.
- Assist the Finance & Strategy Manager in the quarterly forecast and annual budget process for LetGetChecked and other entities of the Fuze Health group.
- Develop and maintain financial models using Excel, Google Sheets, and Power Query.
Business Partnering
- Act as a proactive finance business partner to operational managers, providing financial insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support planning, forecasting, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
Data Integrity & Reporting Transformation
- Play a key role in ensuring data readiness for future reporting transformation projects.
- Work with the financial reporting team to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.

⭐Our Finance team
Our Finance team is growing and we’re looking for a curious, adaptive and data-focused Regulatory Reporting Analyst with a strong attention to detail to join our regulatory reporting team at Monzo EU (Ireland). The team is responsible for understanding our prudential regulatory reporting requirements, working on projects to set up and submit these and collaborating with teams across the Group.
🔑You’ll play a key role by...
- Setting up and operating processes to produce timely, accurate and complete regulatory reporting and Pillar 3 disclosures for Monzo’s regulators (and the associated management information required for sign-off) e.g. Central Bank of Ireland
- Understanding, reviewing and documenting the applicable regulatory interpretations, such as the Capital Requirements Regulations (CRR) and Basel 3.1
- Designing and implementing controls to ensure regulatory reporting is timely, accurate and complete and that regulatory compliance is maintained
- Facilitating appropriate governance over regulatory reporting and ensuring compliance with the applicable control framework
- Implementation and testing (UAT) of new releases of the Bank’s automated regulatory reporting tool
- Partnering with teams internally to help them make informed business decisions and providing regulatory reporting input into new product launches
- Ensuring any regulatory reporting you’re responsible for runs like clockwork, including leveraging data visualisation tools to build dashboards and facilitate useful insights
- Designing brilliant ways to automate your work and leverage technology to ensure we scale with the business
🤩We’d love to hear from you if…
- You’re a qualified or part qualified accountant with experience working within financial services.
- You have previous knowledge of regulatory reporting, such as capital reporting (COREP), liquidity reporting (e.g. LCR) or financial reporting (FINREP)
- You’re excited by data and have a sharp eye for detail, with amazing Excel or GSheets skills
- You have experience with some coding languages like SQL would be a bonus, although a willingness to learn is just fine
- You have a proven record of implementing processes to deliver to non-negotiable, regulatory deadlines
- You have experience in the large-scale implementation and testing (UAT) of automated reporting solutions
- You want to automate or enhance recurring processes, particularly by leveraging technology, but know how to balance this with getting the actual reports out!

- Responsible for reporting requirements under U.S. GAAP
- Liaise with external auditors and support the Statutory audit process
- Support the roll out of international expansion projects and implementation of new accounting systems
- Support specific accounting projects related to automation and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with the US team to ensure alignment with company expectations and standards
- Build strong business partnerships with key budget owners and manage global 3rd party service providers including managing process change updates
- Support ad-hoc activities and projects as they arise
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Proven experience in an accounting role with a strong understanding in industry, like minded companies
- Experience with managing and completing month end close
- Experience in statutory reporting processes
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) minimum 2 years PQE
- Experience working in various accounting systems (NetSuite and Coupa is a plus) as well as broader systems experience such as excellent MS office skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Experience in US GAAP month end close preparation and procedures
- Self-starter and independent thinker with desire to work in a fast-paced scaling international organization
