The Role 

Teneo is looking for a talented and driven Director with a passion for strategic communications, government advisory and stakeholder engagement to join our Strategy & Communications team in the Doha.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team advising high-profile government and corporate clients on how to create effective narratives, manage reputation, engage with key audiences and deliver communications strategies that support major strategic objectives.

As a Director, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality of service to our clients, playing a pivotal role across multiple account teams, delivering regular insight and analysis, and supporting clients’ reputational and strategic objectives. You will also manage and coach junior colleagues, while working closely with senior leaders across Teneo’s regional and global network.

Key Responsibilities

As a Director with the Strategy and Communications team at Teneo, your role will include:  

1. Leads reputation management and advisory – act as a trusted strategic communications expert for key government and private sector clients, utilizing regional geopolitical and/ or business intelligence to advise clients on opportunities and reputational challenges
2. Leads communications strategy development and deployment – leverages research, insights and discussions with client to lead the creation of communications strategies, leveraging Teneo’s resources, offerings, and expertise across business segments
3. Overseeing communications planning and deployment – oversee the development and implementation of tailored narratives, integrated communications plans and innovative campaigns. Quality assures content development across diverse formats such as key messages, talking points, speeches and op-eds, media engagements etc. 
4. Account management – lead on account delivery, managing a team of experts to deliver high quality client servicing and acting as the main point person with the client. Actively coach and mentor junior team members
5. Client management – build and maintain strong relationships with the client, seeking growth opportunities where possible. Proactively manage the client and work to take advantage of opportunities/ resolve issues as needed
6. Supporting new business development – actively building a network of new client/ prospect relationships, working on new business opportunities including leading proposals and participating in client pitch meetings. Demonstrates commercial acumen in costing and managing the delivery or projects. Develops understanding and fluency across Teneo’s service offerings. 
7. Supporting wider team management – taking responsibility for Talent Managing junior colleagues, supporting their performance reviews and career growth within the firm. Supporting the smooth running of client servicing operations

Furthermore, you will be expected to: 

• Build strong relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and seeking organic growth opportunities through new business proposal development; 
• Create advisory notes for client leadership, addressing media narratives, geopolitical risks, and reputational issues, while monitoring media coverage for clients and competitors; 
• Provide support and insight to your client teams, proactively highlighting opportunities, and potential areas of concern; 
• Build a strong network of effective relationships internally and externally;  
• Proactively seek formal and informal learning and development opportunities to support your professional growth and contribute to the sharing of learnings across the wider team; and
• Actively coach and mentor Senior Associates and Vice Presidents (Associate Directors) on your account teams. Lead, manage, and motivate more junior colleagues

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, journalism, political science, public policy, law, international relations, business or a related field
• 7 - 10 years' experience in strategy or communications role, public affairs or a related advisory role (agency or in-house)
• Strong understanding of regional media, geopolitical and corporate landscapes including handling crises and issues
• Outstanding leadership skills, especially in multicultural and interdisciplinary settings 
• Expertise in offering client senior client counsel across a broad range of corporate reputational or market-related topics
• Strong analytical capability to grasp clients’ business objectives and relevant wider industry dynamics to enable drafting of compelling narratives and content 
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams

• Data Quality Analysis & Remediation: Collect, extract, and clean data from various sources to prepare comprehensive datasets for analysis This includes handling missing data, removing inconsistencies, and ensuring the data is structured correctly for further analysis.
• Analyze data using appropriate statistical techniques and tools to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in the information. This could involve anything from simple descriptive analysis to more complex exploratory data analysis
• Validate and cross-check analysis results to ensure accuracy. This involves verifying calculations, comparing findings against external or historical data for consistency, and investigating any irregularities in the results. Data Analysts are expected to be vigilant about data quality during analysis, catching any issues that might have passed initial data processing.
• Create clear, concise reports and visualizations to communicate findings. While the focus is on analysis rather than just creating dashboards, analysts will use tools like Power BI to illustrate key insights. They should present data in an understandable way for internal stakeholders, writing summaries that interpret the numbers and highlight important conclusions.
• Work closely with statisticians and other team members to interpret results and refine analysis approaches. This collaborative approach ensures that the analysis aligns with methodological standards and project goals. Analysts may adjust their methods based on feedback, contribute to discussions on what the data means, and help integrate their findings into broader census reports.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or similar. This educational background provides a solid foundation in data analysis techniques and statistical reasoning.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, particularly SQL for database querying, Excel for data manipulation, and programming in Python or R for more advanced analysis and automation. Experience with statistical libraries or packages (e.g., pandas, R’s tidyverse) is highly valuable.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth data analysis and not just generate visuals. We need analysts who can write complex queries, perform calculations, and apply statistical tests if necessary – beyond assembling dashboard components. An analytical mindset and attention to detail are crucial for interpreting data correctly and spotting outliers or errors.
• Familiarity with business intelligence and visualization tools, especially Power BI, to aid in presenting analysis outcomes. While creating polished dashboards is not the primary focus, the analyst should be capable of using Power BI (and similar tools like Tableau if needed) to turn data into interpretable charts and graphs for reporting purposes. They should also understand data visualization best practices to communicate information effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain data findings in layman’s terms. A collaborative attitude is important, as Data Analysts will frequently interact with other teams (IT, field operations, subject-matter experts) to gather context and ensure that analyses meet the needs of the census project. They should be proactive in sharing insights and contributing to data-driven decisions within the organization.

About The Role:

• Manage Fever’s biggest partners and their events/projects across all verticals (such as large exhibitions, music festivals,  immersive experiences, permanent/renowned attractions, and sports) ensuring strong, long-term relationships and consistent performance growth.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of each partner event  and projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Legal, Finance) to ensure seamless and timely execution, tracking all actions and progress.
• Forge strong, strategic relationships with partners by understanding their unique needs and objectives, acting as a trusted advisor, and leveraging Fever’s extensive expertise to help them achieve their goals. Anticipate partner needs and proactively address challenges, collaborating with internal teams to develop effective solutions that align with Fever's mission and enhance overall partner satisfaction.
• Drive partner performance by establishing KPIs, implementing data-driven strategies for continuous growth, and tracking performance metrics through regular updates and insights. Prepare comprehensive reports that highlight key achievements and identify areas for improvement.
• Gather feedback from partners on Fever’s products and services, translating insights into actionable recommendations for product, marketing, and operational improvements. 
• Grow into a team manager role by providing leadership and mentorship to Project Managers as they join your team. Foster a collaborative environment, conduct training sessions, and support their professional growth to enhance their ability to manage partnerships effectively.
• Get a 360 degree knowledge of all Fever teams and processes.

About You:

• 6+ years in project management or management consulting. 
• Fluent in English is a must. Fluency in other languages is a plus.
