About the Role
We’re looking for a Paid Social Media Manager with deep expertise in TikTok and Meta to join Movement Strategy.
This role sits at the intersection of paid media and creator marketing — ideal for someone who is equally comfortable owning campaigns end-to-end in Ads Manager as they are collaborating with influencer teams to bring creator-led campaigns to life.
You will lead creator-led paid social campaign execution that is at the center of a brand campaign launch for a new non-profit organization, with a strong focus on TikTok-first strategies, including Branded Mission campaigns, Spark Ads, and creator amplification.
This is a Manager-level role, meaning you will operate with a high degree of ownership, make independent decisions within strategy, and serve as a key partner across teams.

In compliance with local and state law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles that will be performed in New York City, Colorado, and California. The range listed is just one component of Movement Strategy’s total compensation package for employees. Individual compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, years of relevant experience, qualifications, and certifications or other professional licenses held. The successful candidate will have at least five years of environmental consulting, land use planning, or site land development experience within the renewable energy industry or related field, with demonstrated prior expertise in leading complex discretionary permitting activities for large capital projects. Experience in supporting project acquisition and financing due diligence is also preferred. Would consider a Senior Manager level. Title and level will be confirmed based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of 55,000 with a range between $50,000 and $60,000. The salary difference is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides and alignment with qualifications and experience.

Holidays & PTO: Full-Time Per Scholas team members enjoy over 40 days of paid time off each year through a mix of holidays, vacation, and sick/personal time! All employees are eligible for Holiday pay upon hire (a total of 22 holidays annually, including a week off for Independence day and a week before the New Year). Full-Time Benefits Eligible employees also receive 80 Wellness Hours to use for Sick, Safe, or Personal reasons and accrue Vacation at a rate of 8 hours at the beginning of every month, supporting rest, recharge, and work-life balance. Vacation accruals increase with tenure. Part-time employees are afforded time off on a prorated basis and in accordance with local requirements.
Comprehensive Medical Coverage: Benefit eligible employees can choose from multiple medical plans through Cigna or Kaiser Permanente (where available), with options to fit your needs. Eligible employees also have access to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that reimburses eligible out-of-pocket expenses, up to $4,000 for individuals and $8,000 for families.
Dental and Vision Insurance: Eligible employees can select from two dental plan options and a vision plan. Employees who waive medical coverage receive employer paid dental and vision premiums.

About The Role:
Urban Sky is seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications to join our team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will lead and execute the company’s marketing and communications strategy, serving as a one-person team responsible for both strategic vision and hands-on tactical implementation. You will play a critical part in building Urban Sky’s brand, driving lead generation, and communicating our mission to diverse audiences, including commercial clients and government partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Marketing Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy as a one-person team, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution of marketing tactics.
Create Marketing Materials: Write compelling copy, design visuals, and produce marketing collateral for the company, including product marketing materials tailored to stratospheric balloon systems and data services.
Develop Messaging Campaigns: Craft targeted messaging campaigns to engage end-users, highlighting Urban Sky’s unique value in applications like wildfire monitoring and urban mapping.
Drive Digital Campaigns: Design and manage digital marketing campaigns to generate leads, utilizing SEO, social media, and other channels to reach commercial and government audiences.
Lead Website Design and Messaging: Oversee the design, content, and messaging of Urban Sky’s front-facing website to ensure it reflects the brand and communicates value propositions effectively.
Manage Public Relations: Develop and execute PR strategies to support business goals, including media outreach and storytelling to elevate Urban Sky’s presence in aerospace and technology sectors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic role.
Proven ability to work independently, managing both high-level strategy and detailed tactical execution.
Strong skills in copywriting, graphic design, and digital marketing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Google Analytics, or similar).
Experience developing and managing digital campaigns for lead generation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with a scrappy, hands-on mindset.
Nice-to-Haves/Preferred Skills:
Experience in the aerospace, technology, or geospatial industries.
Familiarity with government contracting or working with DoD customers.
Knowledge of stratospheric or remote sensing technologies.
Experience managing PR campaigns or media relations in a B2B or technical sector.
