Perception Engineers on Anduril's Frontier AI team build edge-compatible systems that power these views, transforming complex multi-sensor inputs into accurate, actionable understanding of the world. We integrate ambitious machine learning and computer vision algorithms directly into the Lattice platform to increase the fidelity, accuracy, and usefulness of battlefield awareness. These systems improve the experience of Anduril's existing customers, aid in the scaling of our business to new customers, use-cases, and business lines, and they create high-quality snapshots of the world that autonomous and agentic systems can operate on top of.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, train, and deploy computer vision and perception models for edge-
  compatible, mission-critical environments
• Build multi-sensor perception systems that fuse imagery, video, and other sensor
  data into coherent views of the battlefield
• Improve the fidelity, accuracy, and robustness of Lattice's understanding of objects,
  activities, and environments across varied operational conditions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Machine
  Learning, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience developing computer vision, perception, or machine learning
  systems in production or advanced research settings
• Strong experience with deep learning, object detection, and object tracking
  frameworks
• Strong programming skills in Python, with the ability to build reliable research and
  production workflows
• Strong desire to invent, implement, test, and deploy novel techniques that vastly
  improve upon state-of-the-art public methods to solve research problem specific to
  the defense space
• Experience training, evaluating, and iterating on vision models for detection, tracking,

About the Role

Applied Intuition is redefining vehicle intelligence across commercial and defense sectors. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, your responsibilities will look similar to those of a startup CTO: you'll work in small teams and own end-to-end execution of high stakes projects. You'll be the technical bridge between Applied Intuition's novel vehicle intelligence platforms and our customers' real-world operational environments.

This role demands both technical depth and operational excellence. Team Overview

The Platform Security Engineering (PSE) team builds security into Anduril's products from architecture through production. We work directly with business lines to design and implement security solutions tailored to their systems — then promote proven patterns into shared, composable platform services that the entire organization can use. Our mission is threefold: build security solutions for business lines, promote those solutions into the platform, and enable teams to build and operate securely on their own. The work spans cryptographic protocols, operating system hardening, secure boot, hardware security integration, authentication systems, and distributed protocol security across embedded, edge, and cloud environments.

Job Description

We're looking for senior and staff-level software engineers to design and build security solutions across Anduril's product ecosystem. You'll partner directly with business line engineering teams to understand their systems, threat models, and security requirements — then design and implement solutions that range from custom, business-line-specific implementations to shared platform services. The problems you'll work on span the full stack — secure hardware, operating systems, container orchestration, distributed services, and cloud infrastructure — and you'll move between them as the mission demands. We value engineers who are strong generalists: comfortable learning new domains quickly and working across security boundaries rather than specializing in just one.

We're also open to hiring talented software engineers with less security-specific experience, provided they have a strong track record building production software at scale, learn fast, and are motivated to go deep on security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security features and services for business line products — including custom solutions when platform capabilities don't yet exist
• Identify patterns across business line implementations and promote them into shared, composable platform security services
• Build tooling, libraries, and reference implementations that enable engineering teams to adopt secure patterns independently

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Dominance & Strike team at Anduril develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems. The team is responsible for taking products like Fury (unmanned fighter jet) and Barracuda (air-breathing cruise missile) from concept to product. The team also develops Lattice for Mission Autonomy, Anduril’s premier software platform that enables masses of Fury, Barracuda, and other first and third party robots to collaborate across various missions. ABOUT THE TEAM

The Massed Effects (MFX) Team within the Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) Division at Anduril provides customers a high reliability, trusted solution for generating military utility using robotic and autonomous systems (RAS). We think holistically about the user experience with RAS and address the pain points, product gaps, and delivery bottlenecks preventing widespread adoption. That is why we are developing a robotic combat system that operationalizes RAS and integrates them with existing infrastructure and current capability frameworks.

ABOUT THE JOB

Business Development (BD) leads within MFX are responsible for identifying, shaping and capturing opportunities to grow revenue for the business line. BD leads serve as the bridge between prospects/clients and the broader team, conveying warfighter needs to the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that Anduril products consistently meet or exceed user expectations and mission demands. The MFX Business Line is looking for a high initiative, collaborative individual to join the team as the USN and USMC Growth Lead.
