About the role

We are looking for an experienced international trade and export control professional to join our Legal team. You will be the first in-house dedicated trade compliance subject matter expert. The role is based in our office just outside of Washington D.C., and you will support our dual-use Defense and Commercial business lines worldwide.

Applied Intuition is a dual-use technology company that sells products to commercial clients, to the U.S. military, and to its allies. We provide goods and services subject to ITAR, EAR, and international export laws. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing controls to comply with U.S. and international export control regulations. You will work cross-functionally with our Security, Procurement, Business Development, Forward Deployed Engineering, and Product teams.

At Applied, you will:

• Manage the company’s Trade Compliance Policy and Technology Control Plans
• Manage Restricted Party Screening processes
• Make export jurisdiction and classification determinations
• Lead trade compliance training across the company
• Provide strategic advice to Product, Business Development, and Engineering teams throughout the product development, sales, and project delivery lifecycle
• Work cross-functionally with the Security team to advise on controls to secure data, software, and hardware 
• Assist the Procurement and Engineering teams with navigating import/export customs processes for cross-border shipments
• Perform internal compliance assessments
• Submit export license and export classification applications to regulators (e.g., DDTC, BIS)
• Serve as face-of-company to oversee relationships with external legal counsel, with external trade compliance and customs consultants, and with regulators

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of experience working on international trade controls
• Experience working on international trade controls at a company that sells software and/or hardware to military customers
• Experience designing and implementing compliance policies
• Expertise in U.S. export controls (e.g., ITAR, EAR) 
• Familiarity with global sanctions regimes, including in the U.S. and UK
• Familiarity with licensing and compliance IT systems (e.g., DECCS, SNAP-R, OCR)
• Self-starter mentality, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth company environment
• An active U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with import/export customs procedures (e.g., CBP forms) and coordinating with freight forwarders

We are looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This position sits within the broader Design & Construction (D&C) team. The D&C team is responsible for bringing our various cutting-edge factories, offices, and secure spaces to life. We collaborate with a variety of stakeholders involved in shaping the built environment needed to enable Anduril’s mission (construction managers, architects, industrial engineers, real estate planners, finance analysts, and many more). But, first and foremost, we deeply listen to what our Division Leaders need. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• External Project Management and Coordination:
• Maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate closely with external project management teams to ensure alignment of construction activities with overall project objectives.
• Facilitate regular meetings with external project managers to discuss project updates, resource allocation, and potential challenges.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related matters.
• Advise in all phases of any given project: programming, design, pre-construction, closeout, and operations - not just construction.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management and other key internal stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally with non-constriction functions like Security, Network Engineering, Facilities Management, Marketing, Kitchen Operations, Manufacturing, EHS, Legal, and many others.
• Budget and Financial Oversight:
• Develop and manage budgets for construction and maintenance projects: everything from large greenfield projects to small one-day capital improvements.
• Work closely with Finance/FP&A for cash flow forecasting.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior executives.
• Contracting Strategy:
• Develop and implement creative contracting structures that align incentives, reduce change order disputes, and set up projects for success
• Establish commercial terms that drive transparency, predictability, and fairness throughout the project lifecycle
• Structure contracts to appropriately allocate risk, protect the company’s interests, and minimize potential disputes
• Construction Cost Estimating:
• Gather (and help define) user requirements for nascent construction projects.
• Generate accurate cost estimates at all stages of a project lifecycle (concept, test fits, schematic designs, construction drawings, etc.).
• Manage relationships with consultants, regional contractors, and suppliers as needed to support individual project cost estimates.
• Help build our historical cost database to inform every future project.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in construction management.
• At least 5 years Maritime Experience in a construction leadership role
• Strong background in design advisory, pre-construction, and project kickoff/setup.
• The ability to lead and effectively communicate with large, diverse project teams
• Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, MEP systems and building codes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competency in CPM scheduling methods, construction document review, and contract administration.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to support a project or team meetings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced manufacturing-related projects
• Excel proficiency: You can work quickly, you’re organized, and you build models that others can easily and intuitively pick up.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

The Legal team provides legal, contracts, and compliance support to our Business verticals across various industries. ABOUT THE JOB

The ACLU seeks applicants for the full-time position of Manager, Facilities Construction in the Business Operations and Support Services (BOSS) Department of the ACLU’s National office in Washington, D.C. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Manager, Facilities Construction will lead renovation and construction projects of the ACLU’s owned building in Washington, DC and the National Headquarters in New York City.  The Manager, Facilities Construction will lead and manage other design and construction projects in the ACLU’s satellite offices to support the organization’s needs for effective workplace operations. • Manage and oversee renovation and construction projects in ACLU National facilities.

The Capture Manager is the execution engine of our DoD business development operation. In this role, you will own the full business development lifecycle end-to-end, from building the technical materials that get us into the room to managing the capture process through contract award. • Hands-on experience with data or simulation software used for autonomy

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
