How you'll help us achieve it
We are looking for an AML Investigator familiar with money laundering trends and comfortable investigating complex cases to support our Financial Security Team’s mission to prevent, detect, and report suspicious activity. The position will report to our Senegal Compliance Analyst.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct investigations on alerts generated by our AML Transaction Monitoring system.
- Participate in enhancing alerts to reduce overall false positives and prioritize the investigation of suspicious activity.
- Support the Financial Security Manager in reviewing reports generated by other Analysts.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the Transaction Monitoring System by identifying weaknesses and proposing improvement measures.
- Contribute to the generation of Financial Security reports.
- Participate in awareness-raising and training activities relating to financial security.
- Carry out investigations into suspicious transactions and activities.
- Prepare suspicious transaction reports.
- Contribute to drafting reports and dashboard updates for Decision Makers.
- Assist the Financial Security Manager in ensuring the implementation of embargo restrictions issued by the regulator, with the approval of Wave's governing body.
- Gather information about requisitions from law enforcement authorities and/or the financial intelligence authority.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements
- Proficiency in spoken and written French and English. Fluency in Wolof and another local language would be an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in IT, finance, criminology, Risk Management, or other relevant disciplines.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in AML Transaction Monitoring and/or Sanctions Screening at a financial institution.
- Compliance certifications, such as ACAMS, are a plus.
- Proficient knowledge of AML/CFT risks.
- Good knowledge of UEMOA financial security regulations.

We’re seeking a strategic Brand Communications Manager to help bring Wave’s mission to life by crafting meaningful brand experiences that resonate with our users. Through compelling storytelling, strong partnerships, and exceptional execution, you’ll ensure our brand reflects our values, builds trust, and advances our goal of making financial services accessible to everyone as we continue to grow in Senegal.
In this role, you'll;
- Drive the end-to-end execution of high-impact brand and community initiatives, ensuring they are strategically grounded, insight-led, and fully aligned with Wave's mission and values.
- Participate in shaping and evolving Wave's brand identity, messaging frameworks, and tone of voice, and ensure your department empowers teams to communicate with clarity and consistency across all markets and channels.
- Lead creative development process for campaigns and brand programs, partnering with agencies and internal creative teams to deliver compelling content and world-class assets that meet strategic objectives.
- Partner closely with PR, People, and other stakeholder teams to craft internal and external narratives—including events, content, and storytelling—that authentically reflect Wave's values and deepen trust with our audiences.

Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, communications, or a similar role, preferably in FinTech, telecommunications, or an international organisation.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and proficiency in project management.
- Strong understanding of storytelling and brand strategy trends, content production, and social media.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).

How you'll help us achieve it
Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, with millions of users, growing rapidly year on year. And, we’re still in the early days of our product roadmap and potential impact on people’s everyday lives.
We are looking for a Country Growth Operations Lead who will be based in one of our early-stage countries in West Africa, who will lead our efforts to expand our user base and manage user acquisition strategies in the allocated countries. This role involves leading both user growth operations and agent operations/agent liquidity to help grow a market from an early stage to 1 million monthly active users.
The Country Growth Ops Lead will report to the Head of Scaling Operations and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Country General Manager/Director of Operations.
In this role, you'll;
- Drive user growth by optimizing distribution strategies and leading user acquisition initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership and country teams to ensure alignment and maximize growth opportunities.
- Enhance distribution processes through partnership with product and engineering teams, leveraging technology and data.
- Oversee agent network operations, including acquisition, setup, and liquidity management, to support distribution and meet user demand.
- Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Manage business and financial KPIs in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Champion Wave's values, leading by example and embedding them within the team culture.
Key Details
- Location: At one of our early-stage countries in Africa, with a focus on West Africa. You must be willing to relocate to the primary growth country for up to one year, with periodic returns home after each trimester.
- Travel: Anticipated travel requirements of 60-80% within a designated, growth-focused market.

Requirements
- 8+ years of senior leadership experience in user acquisition/agent operations and liquidity management within mobile money, finance, fintech, telecoms, or tech.
- Language: Bilingual proficiency is mandatory, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Enhanced interpersonal skills in building and maintaining positive relationships, effective communication, active listening, and conflict resolution.
- Proven sales ability with a successful track record in sales, including identifying customer needs and connecting corridors.
