AMP is hiring a Field Service Solutions Technician reporting to the Senior Manager of Customer Success. This position is preferred to be in person at our headquarters based in Louisville, Colorado.

In a nutshell, you will be the first touch point for AMP customers who have questions about their AMP products or require AMP service assistance. This position will be tasked with not only maintaining a high level of service but improving on our ability to deliver proactive service whenever possible. This position can expect up to 30% travel and requires some on-call work in order to help customers install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment. 

As our Field Service Solutions Technician, you will work to: 

• Provide best in class remote and onsite customer support and equipment repairs.
• Work beyond fixing problems, ensure customers are getting the maximum value out of their assets.
• Autonomously own your specific portfolio of customer's performance.
• Act as a point of contact for customers, understanding customer needs, and resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
• Train customers on how to perform common repair work, complete required maintenance, and self-diagnose or resolve system issues.
• Complete trip reports and site visit summaries.
• Create, consolidate, and maintain AMP service documentation 

The successful candidate will have: 

Required Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years servicing industrial controls (valves, sensors, actuators, control systems) hands-on at customer locations as well as remotely.
• The ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels and skill sets within an organization to troubleshoot equipment concerns.
• Highly proficient with common field tools (tap/die, impact drills, grinders, multi-meter, etc.).

Preferred Skills: 

• Previous experience in a customer facing, coaching, or teaching role, preferably in a technical field.  Experience in a technical training environment.
• Process or documentation creation experience (Gantt charts, P&IDs, etc.).
• Real world experience using data to improve efficiencies and make fact-based decisions.
• Experience with robot firmware - e.g. RAPID, ACE, Ladder Logic.
• Experience with electrical wiring (e.g. relay trouble shooting), manufacturing techniques, on-site assembly, installation, and service of mechanical systems (e.g. conveyors, pneumatic systems).

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent; Tech/Associates degree preferred

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Conduct integration and developmental testing of complex electrical subystems, including high speed digital and RF components.

The Role

At Skyloom, we’re building cutting-edge optical communication systems for space. We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer with a strong hands-on mindset to help test, debug, and validate electronic assemblies (PCBA and Card Circuit Assembly) across development and production.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in the lab, solving real hardware problems, and collaborating across disciplines. Experience with complex electronic systems is key, deep aerospace or space background is a plus, but not required.

You’ll work closely with hardware, firmware, optical, manufacturing, and test teams to bring advanced electronic systems from prototypes to flight-ready production.

Responsibilities: 

Hardware Test & Debug

• Test and debug PCBAs and electronic subsystems, including multi-board systems.
• Perform functional and performance testing during development, qualification, and production.
• Support hardware bring-up and troubleshooting using lab instrumentation.

Validation & Production Support

• Verify electrical and functional requirements.
• Support design verification and production acceptance testing.
• Help identify root causes of failures and support corrective actions.

Compensation 

The approximate base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $115,000. The total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site.
