What The Role Is

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Project Development, the Manager, Project Development is responsible for the development of wind, solar, and energy storage projects in the Central region as a key member of a regional team charged with the development and execution into construction of Clearway Energy Group’s solar, wind, and storage project pipeline across the region. The position will lead the development of a portfolio of projects and will work with the Origination, Engineering, Project Finance, and Construction teams across the full project lifecycle required to bring projects to successful commercial operation. 

Candidates should have prior professional renewable energy project development experience with the ability across project siting, land and real estate, regulatory and environmental permitting, interconnection, transmission, and power marketing. Candidates should also have experience with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) engagement and have been through one or more successful project financing processes. What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain industry relationships/contacts and current knowledge of market drivers, industry trends, and competitive dynamics to facilitate proactive development posture and early-mover positioning as opportunities materialize
• Manage and execute the development of complex large-scale renewable energy projects from initial project proposal and siting, through to permitting, design, interconnection, approval, contracting, financing, and handover to construction
• Identify, propose, and implement creative or alternative project development approaches that reduce exposure to permitting risks, optimize development schedules, or create additional project value

• Collaborate with the engineering team and external consultants to evaluate site layouts and constraints, technology options, schedule implications, interconnection applications, and studies
• Coordinate and provide input to project interconnection requests, load-flow and congestion studies, and other necessary aspects of securing project transmission
• Lead or support the negotiation and diligence of critical project contracts and agreements, including PPAs, GIAs, equipment supply agreements, and EPC contracts
• Conduct a critical review of project pro forma models
• Lead projects through financing diligence efforts to support obtaining cash equity, tax equity, and/or project debt commitments prior to the start of construction, and at term conversion
• Market development-stage projects for new power purchase and offtake agreements, including submitting responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) in coordination with the origination team
• Create and manage project budgets and schedules, including navigating internal project stage-gate reviews and investment decisions

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, finance, environmental science, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry in the U.S., with direct experience in full life-cycle development of utility-scale solar and/or wind projects.
• Experience and familiarity with all facets of land development: landowner engagement and negotiation/contracting, title resolution, subdivision, agricultural land use/water restrictions, land (ALTA) surveys, GIS, and other real estate elements as required.
• Experience managing project schedules and project budgets, as well as an understanding of key project value levers (commercial, financial, etc.).
• Experience managing cross-functional employee groups (i.e., project teams) and external stakeholders/agencies to execute on a project development strategy. An understanding of the development life cycle of wind, solar, and storage projects is preferred, along with exposure to the benefits and concerns of renewable energy.
• Knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations, or customer/market signals that impact or facilitate new development of renewable projects in MISO, and/or ERCOT and SPP.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to successfully communicate in all situations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects/work streams, set priorities, and exercise independent judgment
• Ability to travel as required (>25%).

Compensation:

• The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. The role is also eligible for an uncapped, variable compensation target of $100,000, for an OTE target of $225,000+, with uncapped earning potential above that threshold. The base salary range of this opportunity is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role.

What The Role Is

Reporting to the Manager of Project Engineering, the Project Engineer is responsible for managing the review, coordination, and approval of the detailed design package for Clearway Energy Group’s pipeline of solar and energy storage projects throughout the U.S. As part of the Engineering & Strategic Procurement department, the Project Engineer will also work with internal and external personnel to provide optimized designs, participate in the negotiation and execution of key contract exhibits, and support construction and commissioning activities by reviewing and approving commissioning test reports. What You'll Be Doing

• Technical lead and primary design and engineering point of contact for the Development and Construction teams, supporting intermediate- to advanced-stage development of utility-scale PV, PV+Storage, and stand-alone energy storage projects.

• Coordinate with the Development team and external consultants to deliver energy resource predictions and production simulations, shading studies, electrical schematics, plant plans and equipment layouts, system cost estimates, EPC contracts, technical exhibits, etc.
• Review, manage, and maintain contractor deliverables during construction to meet critical contractual and financing milestones, including site, civil, structural, and electrical plans, permitting, and construction documents.
• Support construction as a technical escalation point and owner’s representative to mitigate delays and scope creep to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Represent Clearway (CEG) in interviews, meetings, and negotiations with clients, project developers, suppliers, consultants, utilities, and regulatory authorities.

What The Role Is

Reporting to the Senior Director, Market Optimization & Trading, the Manager of CRR & FTR Trading is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing Clearway’s congestion management strategies through active participation in ERCOT and CAISO’s Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR) and Day-Ahead markets and the PJM Financial Transmission Right (FTR). This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and monetizing congestion opportunities while managing the company’s nodal risk and basis exposure across its generation portfolio.  This role will also be tasked with developing hedging and risk management strategies across other parts of the portfolio. The position requires strong analytical, modeling, risk management, and trading skills to inform commercial decisions and support portfolio optimization within a rapidly expanding renewables platform.

What You'll Be Doing

CRR / FTR Trading & Position Management

• Develop and execute CRR, FTR, and congestion trading strategies to hedge and optimize portfolio congestion risk across ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM.
• Analyze historical and forecasted congestion patterns to identify trading opportunities in monthly and annual CRR auctions.
• Manage portfolio-level exposure to nodal price risk through CRR / FTR acquisitions, sales, and virtual positions.
• Support the Real-Time and Day-Ahead MOT team with congestion insights and locational pricing forecasts.
• Collaborate with Market Fundamentals, Asset Management, and Origination to align CRR strategies with commercial hedging and offtake structures.
• Monitor project-level financial performance tied to congestion costs, basis exposure, and hedge efficiency.

Analytics & Modeling

• Utilize power flow and production cost modeling software (e.g., Dayzer and PROMOD) to forecast congestion and simulate transmission constraints.
• Coordinate with Fundamentals and Analytics teams to enhance modeling of nodal prices, transmission outages, and topology changes.
• Leverage programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Power BI to automate congestion analytics and scenario back-testing.
• Research regulatory filings, transmission plans, and outage schedules to anticipate market shifts.

Market Fundamentals

• Conduct in-depth analysis of ERCOT, PJM, and CAISO’s transmission topology, load growth, and renewable generation trends.
• Monitor weather, outage, and project interconnection developments that impact congestion patterns.
• Communicate congestion forecasts and market insights to internal stakeholders, including senior management and trading desks.

Risk & Energy Market Strategy

• Develop portfolio risk limits and maintain portfolio-level risk metrics accounting for cross-market correlations in energy, congestion, and REC prices.
• Review forward market price volatility curves and correlation assumptions for stochastic risk modeling.
• Facilitate trading strategy performance benchmarking and establishing risk limits.
• Develop and apply portfolio optimization techniques to drive hedge strategy decisions while balancing the risk-adjusted revenue of Clearway’s renewable assets.
