We're looking for a Data Specialist to join one of Accordion's AI-augmented delivery pods. These pods are purpose-built teams that combine AI engineering, data science, and product management to transform how PE-backed companies run finance and operations.
In this role, you are the person who makes data work in practice. You move fluidly between messy source systems and production-ready pipelines, and you do it fast. You'll work directly alongside AI engineers and product managers to scope data requirements, diagnose quality issues, and build the data foundations that AI systems depend on. Client-facing moments come with the territory. You'll need to ask sharp questions, explain what you're seeing in plain language, and earn trust quickly.
This is not a role for someone who needs clean handoffs and stable requirements. The data is complicated, the timelines are short, and the problems change. If that sounds like the environment where you do your best work, this is the role.
This is a high-velocity environment. Sprints are short, client expectations are high, and we don’t slow down between engagements. If you’ve spent time in large enterprise engineering organizations where velocity is constrained by process, this will feel different.

The annual salary for this role ranges from: $144,500 to $230,000 USD + significant bonus + benefits. Design and build end-to-end GenAI-powered applications, including web-based UIs, API services, and backend orchestration.
Implement and integrate LLM-based experiences using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and tools like OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini.
Define, implement, and champion operational excellence standards (SLOs, observability, incident response frameworks) for all services deployed.
Develop responsive, accessible, and modern frontend interfaces using frameworks like React or Vue — with a focus on usability, performance, and trust in AI outputs.
Build and maintain a library of reusable frontend components and hooks that allow other business delivery teams to easily "drop in" GenAI capabilities into their own applications.

Ensure security, privacy, observability, and test coverage across the full stack.

Partner with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure services scale reliably across the org.
5–8 years of software engineering experience with full-stack development, including 2+ years of building AI/ML-driven applications.
Strong Python development skills and 5+ years experience building cloud-based services using AWS, Docker, and RESTful APIs.
2+ years of experience in frontend technologies like React, TypeScript, or Vue, and comfort working on UI/UX for internal tools or enterprise applications.
Hands-on experience with LLM integration, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, or orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
Strong background in distributed systems, APIs, microservices, container orchestration (ECS/EKS), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Familiarity with secure coding, authentication/authorization, and internal data governance best practices.

The Team and Scope
As our Data and Platform Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of six engineers — three data and three platform — reporting directly to the CTO. You'll steward the full lifecycle from raw ingestion to governed data assets, while growing Caribou's GCP infrastructure toward complete automation and cost efficiency. This role sits at the heart of Caribou's engineering leadership team — a meaningful seat at the table as we scale toward our next stage.

We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help lead the technical evolution of a large-scale personalization and assignment platform.
