Your Responsibilities

Reporting

• Help to maintain the overall reporting process through use of automation, databasing, and business intelligence tools.
• Assess monthly performance and determine key trends across individual properties and portfolios.
• Develop presentations and detailed financial analysis results in a well-defined format.
• Develop monthly cash balance projections to forecast distributions and create meaningful analysis of future cashflows.
• Create and maintain various financial models and asset management tracking tools dedicated to providing a clear understanding of investment performance.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support the property-level annual budgeting and periodic reforecast process, owning and/or assisting various revenue and expense workstreams and working closely with asset management, property operations, revenue management, capital, and other departments to ensure the highest quality budgets.
• Review proposed budgets through detailed trend analysis of historical performance, portfolio and external benchmarks, contracts, and new strategic initiatives to identify outliers and improvement opportunities.
• Be an expert in the budgeting and forecasting system and process.

Research

• Perform special research, analysis, and ad hoc projects for a multitude of stakeholders on a frequent basis collaborating closely with all departments across the organization.
• Leverage executive communication skills to clearly explain analysis results to internal peers, senior management, external investors.

What We Require

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or other STEM program is preferred; 1-3 years of professional experience
• Advanced financial modeling skills with Excel (VBA is a plus)
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools is preferred (Looker is a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with PowerPoint experience
• Experience with Vena and Entrata is preferred
• Strong collaboration across all departments and with external partners

Your Mission:

This FP&A position is a critical and highly visible role within the Iterable finance team that performs integrated analysis and consolidation to support department and company-wide planning, forecasting and performance reporting processes. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, this role will partner with Research & Development (R&D) to support the company’s strategic objectives while keeping costs predictable. Your goal is to develop a deep understanding of links between our SaaS platform’s technical components and their financial costs to lead short and long-term forecasting of platform investments, technical development costs and partner directly with the CTO and head of product to align financial and development targets.

The successful candidate will specifically demonstrate a strong aptitude for interpreting, analyzing, and communicating complex business issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Problem-solving, prioritization, and attention to detail are critical. This position offers multiple opportunities to showcase analytical skills.

The core functions of the role include supporting the annual operating plan, fine tuning live forecast, contingent scenario planning, long-range planning, and month-end reporting processes while ensuring we maintain flexibility and continuously support the strategic objectives of Iterable.

Responsibilities:

• Manage department and company wide financial statement reporting and forecasting including topline revenue metrics, resource allocation, headcount, and OpEx management with a specific focus on and ownership of key R&D functions
• Serve as a finance business partner to the R&D organization and handle departmental headcount, budget, and development and tracking of meaningful critical metrics to measure efficiencies and return on investment analysis
• Partner closely with CFO, VP of FP&A, CTO and VP of Product planning teams on budget planning and maintenance, balancing technical roadmap and budget objectives
• Own the holistic company cost of revenue forecast, partnering with the Engineering FinOps team to link platform performance and optimization with the associated financial impacts
• Support/drive development of Board of Directors presentations, executive dashboards, and KPIs. Create executive review materials that consolidate and communicate financial and operational strategy
• Perform account-level variance analysis that drives business insight and frames financial risks and opportunities; present findings to senior management
• Working to continuously develop and improve existing FP&A processes
• Develop repeatable business, operational and financial processes, partnering closely with the accounting team, to identify key areas of improvement for maximum efficiency
• Perform and support ad-hoc reporting/analysis requests. Support corporate initiatives and reporting

We are looking for people who have:

• BS in Accounting/Finance, related field, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience: 4+ years in an FP&A role at a public/pre-IPO SaaS company, public accounting firm, management consulting or investment banking with direct software company experience
• Exceptional quantitative and financial modeling with high proficiency in Excel, G-Suite applications, and BI tools
• Ability to thrive and multi-task in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced environment

The US base salary range for this position at the start of employment is $112,000 - $175,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by specific US work location, as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and internal equity considerations.

Please note that the range listed above reflects only base salary. The total compensation package includes variable pay (where applicable), equity, plus a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and financial. Job Overview

The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), plays a critical role in delivering insights on business trends and performance to Rewards Network’s senior leadership. This position supports effective decision making and strategic planning through clear reporting, in depth analysis, and strong communication. The VP of FP&A is a senior finance leader that will report to the Head of FP&A and lead enterprise-wide FP&A efforts around budgeting, planning, annual forecasting and management reporting for Focus.  This role will partner closely with business unit and corporate finance teams as well as business and functional leaders to build scalable and consistent processes and drive deeper insights and predictive measurements of performance.  

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide annual budgeting, forecast and strategic plan which includes the long-range planning process in coordination with business units, strategy team and corporate teams
• Deliver enterprise monthly financial reporting packages to management and the Board with clear interpretation and actionable insights
• Develop and analyze key performance indicators and trends across Focus and business units
• Help translate performance and data into strategic recommendations and business narratives.
• Enhance FP&A tools, systems and process to drive further automation and AI opportunities
• Monitor actual results to budget, forecast and prior-year performance to identify variances and recommend actions
• Perform benchmarking analysis on other industry participants for comparative performance measurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related finance field
• 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance or related roles
• Demonstrated expertise in wealth management, RIAs, private banking, asset management, or broader financial services.
• Experience working in large, complex organizations (both public and private)
• Excellent executive presence, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions
• Advanced proficiency in financial systems
• Advanced Excel skills required, working knowledge of VBA, macros and business intelligence (BI) tools(preferred)
• MBA in Finance (preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (preferred)

This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $225,000- $275,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package.
