Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manager, Pharmacy Pricing Appeals to join our Provider Relations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving the interaction with the pharmacies related to pricing appeals and claims review requests submitted by the pharmacies or internal teams. This includes performing an initial review of the claim and associated pricing, providing the information to internal teams for review, managing any claim adjustments that may be needed, and communicating any necessary information back to the pharmacies. You will play a critical role in ensuring fair reimbursement practices and maintaining strong relationships with pharmacy partners. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the review and improvement of the pharmacy pricing appeal process in coordination with the Analytics team.
• Lead the review and evaluation of the pricing appeal regulatory requirements with the Legal team.
• Manage intake pharmacy pricing appeals or claims reviews from the pharmacies or internal teams via the applicable intake methods required by internal processes and regulations. This involves managing applicable appeal in-boxes and intake methods.
• Evaluate pharmacy-submitted appeals to ensure they meet established criteria and provide the applicable information to the appropriate internal teams for review.
• Receive the internal claim pricing review and respond to the appealing pharmacy with the information.
• Manage the internal process to update any pricing or make claim adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with pharmacies and internal teams to reach equitable reimbursement outcomes.
• Provide appeal response information and feedback to the pharmacies as required.
• Provide clear and timely updates to pharmacies and other stakeholders regarding appeal statuses and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of appeals and generate reports on trends and discrepancies.
• Lead the development of and manage the claims review process at the NDC level.
• Support other projects as assigned by the Provider Relations team.
• Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct, including reporting of noncompliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ yrs. of experience in reviewing claims or payment appeals in healthcare, pharmacy, PBM, or other relevant experience. Such prior experience in a pharmacy pricing appeals role includes experience in managing regular correspondence and communication with pharmacies.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and drug pricing.
• Familiarity with PBMs and their role in pharmacy reimbursement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with and understanding of pharmacy claims processing, pharmacy adjudication systems, and reimbursement workflows.
• Knowledge of state or federal pricing appeal laws.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks at once and having a go-get attitude to provide persistent outreach to pharmacy providers to close out contracts and tasks.
• Ability to work independently, track work/projects appropriately and remain on task.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with providers and internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in pharmacy technician or related field is a plus.

As Director of Engagement, you’ll drive Hillel forward by applying relationship-based engagement, positive energy, passion, and creativity to your work. You’ll develop and oversee the implementation of the Brody Jewish Center’s engagement strategy, supervise student interns, coach them in their engagement goals, and contribute to the overall vision for supporting and growing our student community. 

What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage the implementation of the Brody Jewish Center’s overall engagement strategy, bringing in various staff members to help move the strategy forward throughout the year. 
• Manage data collection and analysis to better understand the BJC’s impact on students month-to-month, sharing that data with staff to help direct their efforts to engage students.
• Oversee the First Year Experience (FYE) Cohort of student interns, ensuring that the BJC continues to grow a robust incoming/first year student experience and develop an engaged, consistent, and vibrant class that will sustain connection all four years.
• Supervise the Springboard Innovation Fellow, coaching them as a new professional and helping them test innovative strategies that will help meet engagement goals of the BJC, specifically in the less engaged student demographics. 
• Manage special events throughout the year with a focus on breadth programming and engaging new and less active students, often in collaboration with other staff and student leaders. These projects might include large-scale Shabbat experiences, Bagels on the Lawn, Welcome Week, Camp WaJew, Lawnukkah, Matzo Ball, etc. 
• Work with the Director of Israel Engagement & Global Jewish Experience to carry out the recruitment plan for Immersive experiences, understanding that immersives are a major entry point for engagement. 
• Engage in meaningful one-on-one and small group conversations focused on getting students to feel comfortable and excited about participating in BJC events and programs. 
• Provide leadership in marketing, public relations, and promotional activities as appropriate, including student social media engagement, to help more students connect with the BJC.

On a day to day basis you will

• Meet 1:1 (or in small groups) with students on Grounds, focusing outreach and engagement on those who have been seen 0-3 times each year. 
• Mentor, manage, and support the Springboard Innovation Fellow, helping them to connect their day-to-day responsibilities with the larger BJC engagement strategy and ensuring that their work is consistent, professional, and strategic. 
• Coach, train, and advise FYE interns so they, in turn, build a strong first-year class that is connected to the BJC community. 
• Lead the charge on large-scale event preparation, bringing in necessary student interns and staff members to collaborate on projects and ensure the timely execution of each major event
• Oversee student operations systems (RSVP system, catering, and communications), and manage social media engagement via student newsletters and social media accounts, highlighting the relationships, events, and opportunities available to the student community and larger community. 
• Direct team members on weekly social media engagement opportunities unique to their professional platform and hold team members accountable for virtual engagement strategies.  
• Routinely track and assess student participation data using the HEART database system, and use this information to tell a story about where staff and student interns can be making an impact on less engaged students.

Summary of Role 

Palmetto is seeking a Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead all external reporting and technical accounting functions. This is a highly visible and critical role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the Company’s SEC filings, technical accounting positions, and financial disclosures. The Director will serve as the Company’s primary subject matter expert on US GAAP technical accounting matters and will own all aspects of the SEC reporting process.

This is a newly created and critical position developed in response to the continued growth and complexity of our business. The role interfaces cross-functionally across the organization and requires the ability to operate with credibility at the executive level.

Strategic & Tactical

• SEC Reporting & External Disclosures
  • Lead the end-to-end preparation and review of all SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and other required filings, ensuring compliance with Regulation S-X and S-K disclosure requirements
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, earnings releases, and non-GAAP reconciliations
  • Manage the XBRL/iXBRL tagging process and ensure accurate, timely submission of filings via EDGAR
  • Coordinate the review of SEC filings with external auditors, outside legal counsel, investor relations, and executive management
  • Monitor FASB, SEC, PCAOB, and other regulatory bodies to identify and assess the impact of new accounting standards and regulatory developments on the Company’s reporting and disclosures
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors on all external reporting and technical accounting matters
  • Administer and optimize the Company’s SEC reporting software platform (e.g., Workiva)
• Technical Accounting
  • Serve as the Company’s primary subject matter expert on complex and non-routine accounting matters under US GAAP
  • Research, document, and communicate technical accounting positions on complex transactions, including equity arrangements, revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, impairments, and other significant transactions
  • Author and maintain high-quality technical accounting memos that withstand auditor and regulatory scrutiny
  • Lead the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards across the organization, including developing accounting policies and updating the Company’s policy framework
  • Provide proactive technical accounting guidance to business partners on contemplated transactions and strategic initiatives to ensure accounting and operational considerations are addressed upfront
  • Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, Tax, and business teams on complex or judgment-intensive accounting matters
• SOX Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Own and maintain a strong internal control environment over financial reporting, including SOX 404 compliance
  • Design, document, and continuously improve controls over the external reporting and technical accounting processes
  • Partner with internal audit and external auditors on control testing, deficiency remediation, and readiness activities
• Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Hire, mentor, lead, train, and develop staff to support the Company’s external reporting and technical accounting needs
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Controllership team to support the consolidated close process
  • Develop and present management reports, accounting policy summaries, and technical updates to senior leadership and the Audit Committee

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree a plus
• CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; a combination of Big 4 public accounting and public company industry experience strongly preferred
• Deep expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations, including Regulation S-X, Regulation S-K, and EDGAR filing requirements
• Demonstrated experience authoring technical accounting memos on complex topics including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350/360, ASC 805, ASC 718, and other areas
• Experience with SEC reporting software (Workiva preferred) and XBRL/iXBRL tagging
• Experience supporting capital markets or other significant company transactions is a strong plus
• SOX 404 experience, including design and documentation of internal controls over financial reporting
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy, detail orientation, and the ability to produce high-quality work in tight timelines
