What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Design and implement extensible, maintainable, and performant Kotlin-based Android/AOSP/AAOS apps, frameworks, and SDKs
- Deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes at a high velocity
- Leverage test driven development principles to maximize code quality
- Actively contribute to code quality by participating in code reviews
- Author design documentation, technical specifications, and delivery plans; define roadmaps
- Embrace and refine team coding standards and processes
- Track and leverage new Android/AOSP/AAOS technologies, software engineering best practices, and design patterns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX Design, product, and other main systems engineering partners
- Provide technical leadership within the engineering org
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC / Fremont, California.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Highly productive and motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction; able to transform ambiguity into actionable deliverables
- 5+ years of Android application software development experience
- 10+ years of software development experience

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial Base Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
Initial Base Salary Range: $154,000 - $187,000

- Collaborate with a team of SRE engineers to operate SaaS capabilities across multiple regions on the cloud platform
- Design, implement, configure, and utilize monitoring systems to monitor the health of SaaS products
- Manage infrastructure used for ArcGIS Velocity and ArcGIS Workflow Manager, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot problems to resolution
- Develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for repetitive operational tasks, such as deployment pipelines, incident resolution, and scaling processes
- Design and implement the deployment and upgrade containerized micro-service components that, when combined, power Esri’s SaaS offerings
- Create and automate Git workflows to simplify code integration, testing, and infrastructure deployments
- Participate in technical spike efforts, bringing new innovative ideas to future versions of our software
- Troubleshoot the system incidents and provide root cause analysis reports
- Provide rotational on-call technical support
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing Kubernetes (EKS), logging and monitoring (ELK, Prometheus), and container technologies (Docker, ECS)
- Proficient in using Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management
- Ability to design and automate Git workflows for streamlined code integration, testing, and infrastructure deployment
- Ability to write scripts to deploy infrastructure and/or applications (Bash, Python, Terraform)
- High level of understanding and experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS)
- Strong knowledge of Linux Operating system administration, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and shell scripting
- Proficient in cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and VPNs in platforms like AWS
- Skilled in identifying and resolving system and application issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis

You’ll work closely with a team that helps our customers take advantage of geospatial technologies to find answers to their challenges. You will also be working with Esri’s senior leadership team and maintain a close connection with the software development team
Responsibilities
- Build relationships. Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the Geo Experience Center team. Support your team as you help plan and execute sales strategies.
- Be an expert. Become a subject matter expert as well as a technical expert of Esri’s complete platform and strategic products. Speak confidently with customers about Esri technologies and thoroughly communicate the Esri message. Be a visionary for our customers anticipating their needs and the technology trends that may impact them.
- Solve problems. Proactively craft and propose solutions that illustrate how geospatial technologies bring business value to our customers by addressing the critical business challenges they face.
- Spatial thinking. Understand spatial problem solving; employ spatial theory into practice; break problems down into component parts and seek multiple solutions; look for improvement opportunities; and integrate new and emerging concepts/trends appropriately.
- Tell our story. Present technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to customers. Successfully design presentations for technical and non- technical customers. Provide best practices related to the use and customization of Esri technology.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 1+ years of experience in various industries
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development
- Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of these languages: .NET, C++ Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript. Java
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing)
- Able to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environments
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%

Be part of the team that presents and demonstrates geospatial solutions and capabilities to executives and strategic customers when they visit our beautiful headquarters in Redlands, CA.
We’re looking for individuals who are naturally curious about technology, enjoy identifying and promoting strategies, and demonstrating solutions that will radically improve the way organizations address the challenges they face. You’ll work closely with a team that helps our customers take advantage of geospatial technologies to find answers to their challenges. You will also be working with Esri’s senior leadership team and maintain a close connection with the software development team
Responsibilities
- Build relationships. Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the Geo Experience Center team. Support your team as you help plan and execute sales strategies.
- Be an expert. Become a subject matter expert as well as a technical expert of Esri’s complete platform and strategic products. Speak confidently with customers about Esri technologies and thoroughly communicate the Esri message. Be a visionary for our customers anticipating their needs and the technology trends that may impact them.
- Solve problems. Proactively craft and propose solutions that illustrate how geospatial technologies bring business value to our customers by addressing the critical business challenges they face.
- Spatial thinking. Understand spatial problem solving; employ spatial theory into practice; break problems down into component parts and seek multiple solutions; look for improvement opportunities; and integrate new and emerging concepts/trends appropriately.
- Tell our story. Present technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to customers. Successfully design presentations for technical and non- technical customers. Provide best practices related to the use and customization of Esri technology.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 1+ years of experience in various industries
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development
- Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of these languages: .NET, C++ Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript. Java
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing)
- Able to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environments
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Basic understanding of artificial/machine learning concepts

- Experience incorporating real-time information stream with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Experience in and with 3D modeling software (Maya, Blender, Houdini)
- Master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of SRE engineers to operate SaaS capabilities across multiple regions on the cloud platform
- Design, implement, configure, and utilize monitoring systems to monitor the health of SaaS products
- Manage infrastructure used for ArcGIS Velocity and ArcGIS Workflow Manager, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot problems to resolution
- Develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for repetitive operational tasks, such as deployment pipelines, incident resolution, and scaling processes
- Design and implement the deployment and upgrade containerized micro-service components that, when combined, power Esri’s SaaS offerings
- Create and automate Git workflows to simplify code integration, testing, and infrastructure deployments
- Participate in technical spike efforts, bringing new innovative ideas to future versions of our software
- Troubleshoot the system incidents and provide root cause analysis reports
- Provide rotational on-call technical support
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing Kubernetes (EKS), logging and monitoring (ELK, Prometheus), and container technologies (Docker, ECS)
- Proficient in using Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management
- Ability to design and automate Git workflows for streamlined code integration, testing, and infrastructure deployment
- Ability to write scripts to deploy infrastructure and/or applications (Bash, Python, Terraform)
- High level of understanding and experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS)
- Strong knowledge of Linux Operating system administration, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and shell scripting
- Proficient in cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and VPNs in platforms like AWS
- Skilled in identifying and resolving system and application issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Working knowledge of a source control and issue management system, preferably GitHub
- Working knowledge of authoring, deploying, and troubleshooting Java applications on AWS Lambda
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, GIS, or information systems
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing, administering, and/or maintaining cloud environments, such as AWS, supporting 24×7 high-availability production environments
- Interest in working with GitOps principles to automate the deployment of applications on Kubernetes clusters
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate, CKA/CKAD or similar
- Experience managing OpenSearch (datastore or logstore), and Kafka for managing distributed data streams and ensuring high availability in large-scale systems
- Ability to work with continuous integration and delivery best practices
- Knowledge of operating resilient, highly available, scalable, and performance SaaS capabilities
- Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS or other web mapping technologies
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, GIS, or information systems
