A Day in the Life:
A technical sales role encompasses a wide variety of tasks where one day does not look exactly like the next. The projects our team handles are high in volume and unique from one another, spanning throughout the whole course of design, procurement, coordination, and post-sale support.
Typical tasks include:
Two to three full days per week in the office working on bids, one to two days on job sites, and dedicate another day to developing the territory. Territory development may include giving presentations to the engineering community, visiting new customers, or expanding contacts with an existing account.

Our main "role" is not to sell products but to provide solutions - kitchen ventilation solutions, commercial ventilation solutions, heating/air conditioning solutions. I enjoy getting to work directly with end users and helping them complete their business goals. Attending a soft opening after completing a full design-build project with an owner is rewarding.
I love the balance between working on designs in the office and also having that face to face interaction with our customers. It's awesome to handle the design phase of a project, then also take charge of the procurement process with the end user/customer and lastly watch our equipment perform as designed once installed and the project is complete. I also love the growth aspect of my role, I enjoy molding and shaping our business in order to set it up for success and then see the value we are adding to the market.

Summary of Role
Palmetto's device data and performance platform is the system of record for how we track, understand, and optimize the performance of hundreds of thousands of solar, battery, and emerging clean energy assets in the field. As the Senior Product Manager for Device Data & Performance, you will own the strategic direction of a platform that sits at the center of Palmetto's operations, serving internal business units, field technicians, OEM partners, financial stakeholders, and homeowners.
This is a uniquely cross-functional role. You will define how Palmetto connects with hardware manufacturers through integration partnerships, shape the data models that power performance monitoring and alerting, and build the workflows that enable our field service and asset management teams to act on what the data reveals. You will need equal parts strategic vision, strong execution instincts, and the curiosity to go deep on hardware — from the solar inverters and batteries we monitor today to the HVAC systems and other energy-efficient assets we are expanding into tomorrow.
Palmetto's device data and performance platform is still being shaped. You will not be inheriting a finished product — you will be defining what it becomes. That means real ownership, real ambiguity, and a real opportunity to build something that matters at the core of Palmetto's clean energy mission.

Summary of Role
The Quality Program Manager, Comfort is responsible for building and scaling the quality assurance framework that supports Palmetto’s expansion across multiple residential energy technologies—including HVAC, geothermal, water heaters, and generators. This role owns the standards, training, and review processes that ensure high-quality, code-compliant installations by Certified Contractors across all Comfort product lines.
The ideal candidate is deeply anchored in residential HVAC and/or geothermal systems, with the ability to extend that expertise to adjacent technologies as the platform grows. You will lead the QC Technician team, oversee daily milestone review throughput, and partner cross-functionally to optimize processes, reduce friction, and ensure volume and SLA goals are achieved. This role operates within a matrixed management structure, reporting directly to the VP of Quality Programs with a dotted-line relationship to the VP of Comfort Program Management. Success requires the ability to navigate shared priorities, align with multiple leaders, and drive outcomes across organizational boundaries.
