About the role

We're looking for a hands-on engineering leader to manage and grow a high-performing team within our Cyberbank Core team. Cyberbank Core is a next generation lean banking core that is part of the Galileo suite of banking APIs and was built from the ground up at Galileo/SoFi. This technology powers SoFi Bank and we are hard at work expanding its footprint and capabilities to better support a post-fiat world.

You’ll drive delivery, partner with the Product team to define and build features, own operational excellence for your services, and own definition and execution of the team’s technical roadmap.  You’ll play a key role in scaling resilient systems and supporting strategic product development at Galileo and SoFi.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack
• 5+ years of software engineering management experience (can overlap a bit with programming experience)
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Delivery principles and techniques, including unit testing, build & deploy pipelines, and testing in production.
• Ability to coordinate and deliver work with dependencies across multiple teams
• Demonstrated expertise in building and operating resilient software components within a large scale distributed system
• Experience building/operating services on AWS/cloud environment 
• Experience building bank core or ledger technology is a plus, but is not required

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement high-quality native mobile SDKs that enable developers to integrate embedded wallet functionality into their applications, with a strong focus on API ergonomics, performance, and reliability.
• Own SDK features end-to-end: from API design and architecture, through implementation and testing, to release, versioning, and developer documentation.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable SDK components for wallet operations, including cryptographic operations, blockchain interactions, and security-sensitive flows.
• Define and evolve the SDK architecture to support long-term maintainability, backward compatibility, and adoption across diverse customer applications.
• Build sample applications and demos that showcase SDK capabilities and serve as integration references for customers.

What You’ll Bring

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions which include: Kubernetes on bare metal, Proxmox and Ceph

Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Generative AI team. The candidate will focus on training and fine-tuning Visual Language Models (VLMs) for multimodal document understanding. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in machine learning and computer vision to advance Xometry's capabilities in processing and extracting structured data from complex documents and images. This is a 1-year contract.  

Responsibilities:

• Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate Visual Language Models (VLMs) to enhance document understanding, focusing on multimodal data such as text, images, and technical drawings.
• Design and implement data preparation, cleaning, and augmentation processes tailored to multimodal model training, ensuring high-quality data pipelines for VLMs.
• Leverage transfer learning and pre-trained models to accelerate model development and optimize performance on Xometry’s specific data.
• Use cloud resources (e.g., Amazon Web Services) to scale training and fine-tuning processes for VLMs efficiently.
• Collaborate with data engineering and machine learning operations (MLOps) teams to deploy VLMs into production and monitor their performance.
• Interpret model outputs and improve model accuracy and robustness by applying data analysis and visualization tools (such as Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and SQL).
