The Role

We are hiring a Mental Health Therapist to join our soon-to-open Boston, MA clinic, as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering personalized, compassionate, high-quality care for individuals with SMI. As an Amae Health employee, this role will deliver care in a clinic owned and operated by Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).

What You Will Work On

• Provide individual and group therapy to a panel of complex SMI patients
• Provide continuous, regular support as patients navigate recovery, both in person and occasionally virtually
• Deliver evidence-based care in a holistic, wrap-around care model
• Collaborate with patient care teams and behavioral health providers to ensure an integrated, cohesive approach to care
• Address medical needs to mitigate negative impacts of social determinants of health
• Provide consultation to therapists on the treatment team, including licensed therapists and trainees; assist with program development

What You'll Have

• Active Licensed Psychologist in Massachusetts, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LPC license in the state of Massachusetts with active NPI and Medicaid/Medicare enrollment required. Associate level welcome to apply with onsite supervision available

Compensation & Benefits

Amae Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base salary range for this role is $65,000–$100,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Octave is hiring Licensed Clinicians to work within an organizational structure to provide high-quality behavioral health care to our clients. Octave Clinicians will join a diverse clinical team in providing therapy in a collaborative, client-centered, evolving environment. Octave Clinicians demonstrate strong clinical service thinking, informed by evidence-informed therapies. It is our effort to drive quality access and customize mental health treatment plans and service delivery for our clients. You will treat adult clients with stress, depression, anxiety, or other mental health concerns via video, using short-term, evidence-based therapies. Candidates must be licensed in Massachusetts at the master's or doctoral level, well-versed in evidence-based therapies, like CBT or DBT, and an expert in the delivery of culturally responsive care.

We are seeking out Licensed Clinicians who are willing to work both in-person and remotely, but an office space is required to start. As a Clinician with Octave, you will be able to build out a caseload that gives your clients the option to see you virtually or in-person. It is required that you already have a commercial clinical space that you can operate from to see clients in person through Octave. At this time, we are not providing an office space within the state of Massachusetts. You can see clients in person from your home office or commercial office setting.

• At least 2 years of experience preferred in one or more of the following areas:
  • CBT for depression or anxiety
  • DBT for emotion dysregulation
  • Unified Protocol for emotional distress
  • CPT or PE for trauma
• Must have your own office space and are willing to provide in-person services in the Boston area.

Compensation: 

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.

The hourly compensation range for this role is listed below dependent on licensure:

In-Person Rates: 
$83-$133/hour for master's level license.
$93-$143/hour for doctoral level license.

Virtual Rates: 
$80-$130/hour for master's level license.
$90-$140/hour for doctoral level license.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Group Therapist (Part-Time) to join our team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional group therapy and support our mission to improve mental health outcomes. You will play a key role in guiding patients through their therapeutic journeys, fostering resilience and self-efficacy. Key Responsibilities

• Focus on Outcomes: Deliver evidence-based group therapy using practices such as DBT, CBT, and ACT to help patients build tools for long-term mental health.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with clinicians, case managers, and external providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Maintain comprehensive treatment plans, ensure accurate documentation, and adhere to HIPAA and all relevant compliance regulations.

Qualifications

• Pre or Post licensed therapists in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in higher levels of care, such as PHP, IOP, inpatient, psychiatric emergency rooms, or residential settings.
• Experience facilitating group therapy and confidence in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Proven ability to build rapport with diverse populations, including Medicaid patients and individuals with complex social needs.
• Proficiency with technology platforms such as Slack, Zoom, and Electronic Health Records.

Position Details

• Part-time position with availability for 6-20 hours per week
• Must be available weekday day or evenings (Monday-Friday) to align with program schedules
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Boston, MA where out clinic is located

With a clinical model validated by McLean Hospital, we deliver comprehensive psychiatric, therapeutic, and community reintegration services to our patients. Our teams are successful when our patients achieve their goals of stability, connection, and confidence during and after the program. 

Job Description

The Music Therapist will be a part of the multidisciplinary team for clients enrolled in the Psychiatric Day Treatment program at Overstory Health and is responsible for running the “Creative” group session . The music therapist is responsible for leading and documenting music therapy interventions and client responses in the electronic medical record and will align with client’s individual treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead one hour music therapy groups 2x per week from 1-2pm with clients
• Document the music therapy intervention and individual client notes based on their responses
• Communicate to the multidisciplinary team about engagement in the groups and clinical observations
• Develop music therapy lesson plans and share with the clinic director to ensure alignment with mission, vision, and values and ensure appropriateness at this level of care

Experience/Skills Required for Success

• 1+ years experience doing music therapy
• Experience in hospital setting, intensive outpatient, or partial hospital setting preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in music therapy and/or music therapist certification
• Highly organized, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with mental health conditions including co-curring substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and complex mood disorders
