The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking individuals for a full-time position that involves launching and operating one of our inaugural fulfillment centers. As a key member of the Flexport team, you will take on the role of a people leader, responsible for managing a process and a team on the operating floor. This position offers a unique opportunity to invest in others and cultivate a collaborative leadership style. You will:
- Coach, manage, and develop a team of 30-100.
- Communicate policies to your team and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.
- Create, manage, and support recognition programs across your department.
- Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
- Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
- Be an integral part of our Operations team as an Area Manager of one of our largest fulfillment partners located across the country.
- Own performance reporting for your areas of responsibility within the FC, including, but not limited to, on-time receiving and shipping, inventory accuracy, and packing quality.
- Consistently hold yourself and your team to strict SLA expectations, providing clear and concise verbal and written reports of performance and action plans when needed.
- Facilitate troubleshooting with relevant cross-functional parties for fulfillment-related problems.
- Serve as an escalation point to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Measure and respond to gaps in inventory accuracy, facilitating strategic initiatives to identify root causes and resolve them.
- Review defect rates to identify trends and expose opportunities to improve operations both internally and across the network.
- Track learnings and best practices to contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Help prioritize the resolution of systemic problems, working closely with our Growth and Engineering teams.
You should have:
- 2+ years managing staff of 5 or more.
- Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
- Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud.
- Must be able to work in an environment where the temperature may vary between 60 and 90 degrees and will occasionally exceed 90 degrees.
- Must be able to work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 40 feet (applies to buildings with mezzanines). This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our growth while motivating others to meet challenges in a deadline-driven environment.
- Willing and able to work any permanent shift that may include overnights and holidays. Note that there is a high chance that your shift may overlap into part of the weekend.
- Demonstrated collaboration with internal and external business partners to deliver greater operational performance, efficiency, and quality.
- Precise communication around external partner decisions, issues, risks, and new processes.

You Should Have
- 7–10+ years of experience in fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, or operations strategy—ideally with direct exposure to high-volume networks.
- Extremely strong technical skillset: SQL (expert), Excel/Google Sheets (advanced), BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI), and preferably Python or R for modeling and automation.
- A proven record of designing and implementing scalable processes/products that delivered measurable business impact.
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to connect day-to-day execution to P&L drivers and long-term vision.

Role Overview
We are seeking a technician to support our gasification project in San Bernardino, CA. Our gasification test stand will produce the ‘syngas’ from a biomass source and power our turbine system that produces electricity. You will be working closely with engineering to help configure the system for testing operations. Work will include tube bending, flaring, torque tools, general hand tools, fluid panel assembly, structural assembly, and other responsibilities as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Provide ground system technician support, which involves installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial tank farm equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves, and plumbing related to the high-pressure and low-pressure nitrogen, oxygen, CO2 and methane gas/liquid ground infrastructure, and other aspects of the site facilities
- Understand and supply industrial packaged gases to production and test consumers, be knowledgeable about pressurized components, and provide end-users insight on how to properly and safely operate pressurized test systems
- Assist with material extrusion and forming machinery assembly, operation, and maintenance.
- Operate and maintain large, complicated facility gas hardware, high-pressure systems and pumps, and other ancillary pressure equipment, including pneumatic systems ranging from vacuum to 20,000psi MEOP
- Collaborate with design/build engineers to understand systems, help influence and execute a preventative maintenance plan, and ensure system changes are approved and documented
- Make repairs and additions to pre-existing piping infrastructure, troubleshoot and fix faulty regulators, valves, gauges, and gauges throughout campus
- Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required
- Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate Arbor procedures, including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, NFPA, ASME, NEC, etc. standards
Requirements
- Positive attitude and able to work well on a team
- Able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Able to stay organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to read mechanical and engineering drawings and interpret tolerances (including GD&T)
- Able to read and interpret fluid or electrical schematics
- Skilled with mechanical hand tools
- Knowledge/experience with AN, MS, MP, and Swagelok fluid connections
- Knowledge/experience with cryogenic systems (gaseous and liquid)
- Knowledge/experience working with electrical components and systems
- Proficient computer skills; comfortable with using email and the Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to work at elevated heights occasionally (scissor lifts and articulated boom lifts)
- Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 30 lbs. unassisted
- Able to work in outdoor environments as needed
- Ability to work all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends when needed
- Willing to travel for short trips as needed, up to 10% travel

Base Pay: $30.00 - 40.00 USD/hour. The base pay is subject to the applicant's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
