The Program
The Rotation track is designed for tech students who want to shape the future of banking together with our customers. Here you will get to work with the latest FinTech technology and get to explore different areas within financial services. You will gain knowledge and experience in the entire software development process and consultancy by rotating in three different customer projects and developing your competence within three different areas; requirement, development and testing. After the program you will be specializing in one of these areas.

Principal Engineers at Intercom have the opportunity to lead the definition and execution of key strategic initiatives. You will work autonomously and be accountable for strategic execution in part of the engineering organization. You will build both back-end and front-end systems, and work closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts. You will coach and mentor other engineers and partner closely with the Group Engineering Managers on technical strategy and leadership.

As an experienced engineer you will:
Provide assessments of project progress, risks and challenges to engineering leadership to help guide resource allocation and prioritisation.
Contribute to our technical architecture as we grow. We scale to service requests from all our customers’ customers. We’re growing and so are they.
Care about agility as much you care for scalability and availability. Continuous deployment keeps us focused on incremental releases. Even our biggest technical achievements roll out piece by piece, feature flagged out of sight.
Contribute to all phases of software development including ideation, prototyping, design and implementation. This role has a mix of both hands-on development as well as lead/architecture work.
Build using the best tools in the industry. We invest heavily in AI-powered developer tools that remove friction and help you focus on solving meaningful problems.
Play an active role in hiring, mentoring and career development of other engineers
Raise the bar for technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence

Our job is solid software engineering, not hype engineering. Carrier APIs differ a lot across countries, providers and regulatory regimes. Provisioning, porting, and eSIM lifecycle management happen in real-time with hard SLA requirements. Usage tracking, billing, and payments span multiple currencies and jurisdictions. Our systems need to be observable, operable, and resilient. When a carrier integration fails at 3am in a market far away, we need to know about it before the customer does.
Ours is a world where decades-old carrier protocols meet eSIMs, IoT, satellite connectivity, and the road to 6G. We are bridging that gap; making the old world programmable for the new one. We’re a platform company solving real, durable problems that don’t disappear when the hype cycle turns.
Our engineering team is doubling in 2026. The role
We are looking for a Principal Engineer (JetBrains Cloud Platform, Developer Experience) to drive large-scale improvements to the development experience across the JCP.
This role focuses on making JCP engineers faster and more productive by improving build systems, CI/CD pipelines, local development workflows, tooling infrastructure, and AI pipelines. You will own the developer experience end to end – from how engineers develop, build, and test locally to how code moves through CI and reaches production. As this is a rapidly growing platform, many workflows and processes are still maturing. You will define what a great development experience looks like and drive the organization toward it.
As part of the team, you will:
- Own and drive the strategy for developer experience improvements across the entire JCP platform.
- Optimize build systems (Gradle, Nx, and others) for faster builds, better caching, and reliable reproducibility at scale.
- Set up AI development pipelines, managing context, agents, and handoffs, and leveraging tools developed within the JCP.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines – reduce build times, increase reliability, optimize resource usage, and shorten feedback loops across TeamCity and GitHub.
- Improve containerized development workflows (Docker, Dev Containers) to ensure fast and consistent local environments.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the development cycle – from code commit to production deployment.
- Establish best practices, tooling standards, and shared infrastructure that enable all teams to move faster.
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to understand pain points and deliver high-impact improvements.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has extensive experience with build systems (Gradle, Maven, or Bazel) and a track record of optimizing them at scale.
- Has strong expertise in CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar) and knows how to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Has hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.
- Understands the full software development life cycle and can reason about developer productivity holistically.
- Is able to drive cross-team initiatives and influence engineering practices across a large organization.

In this role, you will help establish best practices for enterprise AI adoption and influence how organizations implement AI-driven software development.

As our Principal Engineer Product Security , you’ll support the Engineering team by solving challenging technical problems for an ambitious product and enabling teams to "shift left" to build secure services on multi-cloud infrastructure.
You will:
Formulate, evangelise, and drive adoption of the product security strategy
Assess, advise on, and increase the security maturity posture
Create a standardised security architecture and operational best practices
Help track and drive remediation of security and technology risks
Educate product teams on risk assessments, threat modelling, and building secure api-first applications
Review requirements and designs to help product teams address shortcomings
Embed security tooling into the development process
Contribute to the review of external penetration tests and help teams prioritise fixes
Collaborate with product teams to improve overall security and resolve specific issues
Facilitate or lead customer conversations regarding product security
Triage and investigate new attack vectors to determine risk mitigation
Drive security and quality initiatives across the organization and support certification audits
Collaborate with Product Management, Principal Engineers, and legal/compliance teams
Identify skills gaps and facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization
This role is hybrid, with three days a week spent in our Berlin, London or Valencia office.

You bring:
A strong technical background and 5+ years of proven track record in hands-on Product Security
2+ years of experience improving Product Security in a leadership role
Experience with customer-facing security roles and influencing roadmaps in matrix organizations
Experience in a scale-up environment with ambitious and competing priorities
Expertise in formulating, elaborating, and clarifying requirements or priorities
Experience with Secure Architecture design reviews and Threat Modeling
Experience infusing security into various levels of the SDLC
Experience with Static Analysis and Secure Code Review implementations
Sound knowledge of Linux systems, Kubernetes, Terraform, Vault, API, and web application security
Practical experience in DevSecOps and proficiency in at least one scripting language like JavaScript or Go
Project management experience for projects affecting multiple teams
Experience working within an Agile environment with a strong customer focus
Experience setting up and running trainings or onboardings
Clear written and verbal communication in fluent English
AI Aptitude: A genuine curiosity for using AI tools to work smarter and more effectively, paired with a drive to learn and put them into practice in your role.
Nice to Have: * Security Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, or GCP/AWS/Azure security certifications

As a (Principal) Senior C++ Engineer in the Remote Driving Platform team, you will work on the foundational software stack that powers Vay’s driverless fleet. This is the layer that everything else depends on: health management, telemetry, safety integrations, compute performance, and the core platform enabling safe operation on public roads without a safety driver.
You will operate at the intersection of software architecture, performance engineering, and hardware evaluation, shaping the compute backbone of our remote driving system. Your work directly impacts safety, scalability, and our ability to deploy and operate thousands of vehicles globally.
Owning the platform means owning reliability, performance, and developer velocity across the organization. The scope is deep, highly technical, and critical to Vay’s long term success.
We are open to hiring at either Senior or Principal level, depending on experience and scope of ownership.
You will design and evolve the common software platform components that other engineering teams build upon. Your work will ensure that our remote driving stack is performant, observable, and production ready at scale.

We are building in a highly complex space and tackling a massive problem. We want people who lean in when things get hard.
Our job is solid software engineering, not hype engineering. Carrier APIs differ a lot across countries, providers and regulatory regimes. Provisioning, porting, and eSIM lifecycle management happen in real-time with hard SLA requirements. Usage tracking, billing, and payments span multiple currencies and jurisdictions. Our systems need to be observable, operable, and resilient. When a carrier integration fails at 3am in a market far away, we need to know about it before the customer does.
Ours is a world where decades-old carrier protocols meet eSIMs, IoT, satellite connectivity, and the road to 6G. We are bridging that gap; making the old world programmable for the new one. We’re a platform company solving real, durable problems that don’t disappear when the hype cycle turns.
Our engineering team is doubling in 2026. In the next step of our journey, we’re building out a senior IC track, hiring multiple staff and principal engineers, because the challenges we’re solving today are only getting deeper.
