Senior Software Development Engineer, Developer Tools

Summary/Purpose of the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer, Developer Tools to join our team.
Automation of key engineering processes - such as builds, testing, deployments, and more - is a critical focus at Network Optix. These efforts help our engineers work more efficiently and deliver high-quality software faster.
The CI team plays a leading role in designing, building, and maintaining this automation ecosystem, driving best practices in CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) across the company.
Current State of CI/CD and Automation
A significant portion of our engineering and infrastructure processes is already automated and continuously evolving. The CI team builds and maintains a range of internal services and tools, including:
- Automation tools – Custom bots and services that streamline routine tasks within merge requests and Jira workflows, built on top of the GitLab and Jira APIs.
- Crash analysis service – A service that processes core and minidumps from client environments and automatically creates Jira issues for developers.
- Sign server – A service that securely signs distributable binaries using certificates and keys provided by customers.
- Build tooling – Tools and integrations to build our cross-platform products using CMake, Ninja, and Conan.
- Product CI pipelines – GitLab-based pipelines that run builds and automated tests across our product line.
- Internal CI/CD solutions – Pipelines and web services for internal CI team projects, including Jenkins jobs.
What the CI Team Has Today
- A real engineering culture – Code reviews, pre-commit checks, and a strong focus on writing high-quality, maintainable code.
- A small, hands-on team – 5 engineers and a team lead who actively contributes to the codebase.

What you will be doing
There is a substantial amount of work ahead as we continue to expand and improve our CI/CD ecosystem:
- New automation services – Design and implement new services, and continue evolving the existing ones.
- Developer productivity tools – Build internal tools and services that save engineers time and streamline daily workflows.
- Build tooling improvements – Make our build infrastructure faster, more reliable, and easier to maintain.
- Pipeline performance – Improve the efficiency, stability, and execution time of our GitLab pipelines.
- Automation backlog – Work through a growing backlog of automation requests from engineering teams across the company.
- Support and maintenance – Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and keep existing solutions reliable.
What you bring
Software engineering – Solid hands-on experience building and maintaining production services, with good coding practices and attention to code quality.
- Python – Strong Python skills; this is the team's primary language for service development.
- Service integration – Familiarity with automating workflows through integration with internal services such as GitLab, Jira, and Artifactory, using direct API access, SDKs, CLI tooling, or other programmatic approaches.
- Scripting experience - Bash, PowerShell
- Git – Solid knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Systems fundamentals – Working knowledge of networking, operating systems, and how software interacts with hardware.

Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloudflare)

We are looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer in our office in Serbia, Belgrade.
✅ Responsibilities:
- Multi-CDN & Edge Management: Manage and optimize Edge Services across multiple providers, including Cloudflare, Fastly, and Gcore. This includes configuring DNS, CDN, Edge Computing (Snippets/Workers), Access Control, and WAF policies.
- Provider-Agnostic Resilience: Design and implement cloud-agnostic failover strategies and high-availability solutions to ensure service continuity, preventing vendor lock-in and dependency on a single provider.
- Traffic & Performance Engineering: Monitor and fine-tune HTTP traffic handling, global load balancing (GSLB), and caching strategies to minimize latency and optimize content delivery at a global scale.
- Mass Domain & SSL Management: Orchestrate configurations for a large-scale domain portfolio, including automated SSL/TLS provisioning and unified security policy enforcement across different platforms.
- Advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain reusable and scalable configurations using Terraform or OpenTofu to manage diverse provider environments, ensuring infrastructure is auditable and consistent.
- Security & Web Protection: Collaborate with security teams to implement robust Rate Limiting, DDoS mitigation, and Bot Management across the network and application layers.
- Observability & Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and tune performance for both edge and application layers using centralized monitoring tools.
- CI/CD & Automation: Integrate edge configuration changes into CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments and ensuring rigorous testing of infrastructure changes.
✅ Must Have:
- 2+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or related roles with a focus on Cloudflare services.
- Solid understanding of HTTP protocol, caching principles, and CDN concepts.
- Experience managing Cloudflare DNS, Firewall Rules, Page Rules, Workers, and related services.
- Strong knowledge of Nginx (or similar: Envoy, HAProxy) for reverse proxy and load balancing.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code concepts and practical experience with Terraform.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, and security best practices.
- Experience working with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
✅ Nice to Have:
- Experience with Cloudflare Enterprise features (Argo, advanced caching, Cloudflare Workers KV).

As a Salesforce Developer, you will be part of the CRM Ecosystem Technical Team of Proximus Global. You will work closely with Product, Tech, business stakeholders, and external partners to support the maintenance and development of the Proximus Global CRM systems. Your role includes translating business and functional requirements into scalable and secure technical designs, delivering clean, high-quality, and reusable solution (code and configuration) in line with Salesforce best practices.
Together with the Senior Salesforce developers, you will be responsible for analysing requirements, designing, building, and enhancing solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and/or contribute to the development of new features/enhancements across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and integrated applications (e.g. DocuSign CLM, Marketo, ZoomInfo, .. )
- Provide ongoing support for existing solutions by resolving production incidents, bugs and service requests for end-user assistance
- Manage the CRM release chain, version control and deployment using Git, SFDX, and CI/CD tools
- Contribution to technical documentation and reusable component libraries
- Collaborating with PO, IBA and CRM assistants for technical analysis/business requirements collection/clarification
- Collaborating with QA for unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Apex, LWC, Salesforce flows
- Good Knowledge of SOQL/SOSL, HTML/CSS
- Experience with Salesforce CLI and Visual Studio Code
- Experience with Salesforce APIs and integration tools
- Experience with the Salesforce application and Managed Packages
- Experience with both back-end logic and front-end user experience
- Experience writing technical documentation and solution designs
- Experience with GitHub and Jenkins or similar version control systems (nice to have)
- Deep understanding of out-of-the-box Sales Cloud and Service Cloud features
- Staying up-to-date with Salesforce releases, recommending features and optimisations
- Experience with middleware tools, CLM (DocuSign) and Marketing platforms is a plus
- Experience with Salesforce AI technology is a plus
Ideal Profile
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Salesforce Developer
- Background in computer science, software engineering, or related fields
- Experience working in Agile methodologies and tools
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Good problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Proficient English knowledge
- Salesforce Platform Developer certification (nice to have)
