Join Collibra's AI Governance team

As our Product Manager for AI Governance, you will help shape how enterprises govern AI agents and agentic systems, one of the most consequential and genuinely unsolved problems in enterprise software today. You will work closely with peer product managers, engineering, design, and research teams at Collibra, and report directly to the Senior Director, Product Management, AI Governance.

This role sits at the intersection of AI, compliance, and risk. There is no established playbook here and that is precisely the point. We are looking for someone who finds that energising, who will dig into a problem on their own initiative, form a strong perspective, and bring enough clarity for the team to build with conviction. This is a hybrid role based in our Brussels office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.

Product Managers at Collibra are responsible for

• Shaping the problem before the solution researching customer needs, market signals, and the evolving agentic AI landscape to develop well-informed, clearly articulated pitches that the team can act on
• Bringing clarity to complexity, translating the nuances of AI governance (think: agentic systems, runtime controls, compliance frameworks like the EU AI Act or standards like AIUC-1) into product thinking that engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams can all work from
• Prototyping and validating on your own initiative, getting hands-on to test ideas early, whether that means building a rough prototype, running a customer session, or stress-testing an assumption before it becomes a commitment
• Owning outcomes end to end from the first spark of an idea through to delivery and adoption, staying close to what ships and honest about what it achieves
• Collaborating with marketing, sales, customer success and professional services to ensure the product lands well and creates shared value

You have

• Experience co-creating with an engineering team. We care far more about the quality of your thinking than the number of years on your CV. 
• Hands-on experience exploring or building with AI tools. You have formed your own views through doing, not just reading about it
• Familiarity with compliance, risk, data governance, or security.
• Awareness of what it takes to work effectively in environments where the problem is still being defined. You find ways for making meaningful progress anyway
• Experience in product management for B2B software is a plus
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

• Meet key stakeholders across product, engineering, and go-to-market
• Begin forming your own perspective on where the most interesting problems are

• Have shaped and delivered at least one well-defined problem pitch with the team
• Have engaged directly with customers or prospects on their governance needs
• Be contributing on your own initiative to a defined area of the product
• Within your sixth month, you will:
• Own a meaningful piece of the product strategy and be able to articulate and advocate for it
• Have shipped something, learned from it, and already be thinking about what comes next
• Be a trusted voice on AI governance internally and in front of customers

Joining Collibra’s Unstructured AI Team

• Work at the forefront of context engineering - shaping how AI systems retrieve, structure, and leverage context to deliver accurate, high-quality results at scale.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery of Unstructured AI systems - from feature prototype to stable production across enterprise environments.
• Build and scale full-stack systems that ingest, process, and enrich large volumes of unstructured content from distributed enterprise silos (PDFs, contracts, reports, and other document types).
• Collaborate with the Best: Work closely with xYC Founders to understand complex business challenges and deliver Deasy to solve them. Be part of a dynamic team where ideas flow freely and creativity thrives.
• Learn and Lead: Stay ahead of the curve by engaging with the latest developments in machine learning and AI. Share knowledge and lead by example to maintain high building standards.

Senior AI Engineer at Collibra are responsible for

• Shipping complex systems under ambiguity - balancing speed and precision in real environments.
• Writing and reviewing production-grade code across backend (Python, FastAPI).
• Building/deploying document-processing systems that handle large-scale, unstructured data environments.
• Integrating data from diverse enterprise data sources (e.g., SharePoint, Salesforce, or internal APIs) to provide context for AI features.
• Partnering across engineering, product, and sales teams, ensuring alignment from prototype to rollout.
• Occasionally working with modern frontend development.

You have

• Strong proficiency in Python (data processing, API development, and integrations).
• Hands-on work with LLM-based and AI-driven enrichment models (e.g., classification, entity extraction, deduplication, PII detection).
• Proven ability to deliver production-grade systems using Big Data frameworks (e.g., Spark) to handle data at scale.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, microservice architecture, and API design.
• Experience ingesting and processing data from third-party enterprise sources (e.g., SharePoint/OneDrive, Salesforce, and SaaS-based knowledge bases).
• Strong communication skills across technical and business teams.
• Calm, structured decision-making under tight timelines or ambiguity.
• Familiarity with metadata systems, data cataloging, or document AI workflows.
• Knowledge of model evaluation best practices.
• Experience with search relevance.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
• You must have work authorization to work in Brussels.

Measures of Success

• Within your first month, you will develop a deep understanding of our product vision and the unstructured data stack that powers it, shipping your first set of end-to-end features.
• Within your third month, you will take full ownership of technical delivery for key product areas, building robust capabilities that handle complex document processing and ensure a stable, high-performance experience for users interacting with diverse data sources.
• Within your sixth month, you will drive the development of ambitious, enterprise-grade AI product features that solve for data at scale, architecting the high-performance pipelines and advanced context engineering required to deliver accurate, reliable results.

What You Will Do

As a Data Engineer in our GenAI practice, you will own the end-to-end execution of complex technical challenges. You won't just "move" data; you will build the specialized infrastructure and data flywheels that power the next generation of Generative AI, RAG systems, and autonomous agents.

• Deploy GenAI-Ready Production Pipelines: Design and deploy advanced data pipelines both batch and streaming optimized for processing unstructured data (text, images, audio) to fuel LLM fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Build Scalable AI Platforms & Vector DBs: Hands-on development using modern cloud platforms like Databricks, Azure, or AWS.
• Establish Engineering Excellence for LLMs: Implement best practices in data transformation (dbt), orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster), and data governance to ensure that AI solutions are reliable, safe, and compliant at enterprise scale.
• Collaborate on AI Innovation: Work closely with Machine Learning Engineers and Generative AI Specialists to design data models and "data-as-a-service" layers that enable rapid prototyping and scaling of AI agents.
• Software Engineering Foundation: Advocate for clean, maintainable code using Python, SQL, and Git, and leverage containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) to deploy AI-driven microservices.

Who You Are

• Experienced Professional: At least 3-5 years of industry experience in data engineering, ideally within a consulting environment, with exposure to data preparation for AI/ML.
• Deep Technical Skillset: Strong programming skills in Python and proven expertise in Spark (PySpark, SparkSQL) for large-scale data processing and feature engineering.
• Data Transformation Expert: Extensive experience with dbt for data modeling, and a strong curiosity about emerging patterns in "LLMOps" and vector data management.
• Consulting Mindset: Proven ability to navigate multidisciplinary environments and communicate how high-quality data architecture is the primary bottleneck for successful GenAI deployment.
• Education: A Master’s in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field).
• Linguistic Versatility: Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Dutch or French is a major advantage for our Belgian market.
