Job Purpose

The place… 

Located on Avenida Tibidabo, our third Casa in the city will include a state-of-the-art gym, a full-service spa and hair salon, an 18 m² outdoor pool, a café, and two floors of club space.

As a Bartender at Soho House, your role is to deliver excellent service to create memorable experiences for our members and guests.

Your main focus is to ensure our drinks service is to the highest standard. 

As a team we work to go the extra mile, keeping things simple and showing collaboration, kindness and passion in everything we do. 

Main Duties

• Providing warm, friendly and efficient service according to our steps of service.
• Following our full allergy procedure to ensure the safety of our members, guests and team.
• Possessing a strong understanding of drink menus in order to make recommendations, pairings and accommodate specific requests.
• Efficiently making all drink orders as per specs and timings.
• Ensuring all standard operating procedures are followed and implemented.
• Running drinks from the bar to tables when needed.
• Verifying the age of guests when needed.
• Reporting and resolving any complaints and handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.

Requirements

A successful Bartender for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You will have strong knowledge of classic cocktails and have experience preparing cocktails and serving in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.

• Discuss and describe daily specials, seasonally influenced menu items and food pairing options to promote additional sales through creating optimal experience for dining
• Collect payment on all sold items and operate a cash register
• Check identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products as well as determine when a customer has had too much alcohol
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays that promote specific beverage options and can increase overall sales and member / guest experience
• Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies and delegate replenishment of items to Barbacks
• Mix ingredients according to drink recipes to maintain a globally unified beverage program and consistent experience
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager 

Required Skills/Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience working in high-volume F&B operation
• Craft cocktail experience and working with seasonally influenced perishable items
• Experience making coffee drinks a plus
• Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining consistency
• Strong communication and people skills
• Flexible schedule and reliable
• Tips certified
• Micros a plus

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.

Job Purpose

As a Bartender with Soho House, your role is to make sure that our members have an amazing experience every time. Possessing natural hospitality charm, we will give you a platform to connect, grow, have fun and make an impact

Your main responsibilities are serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food (when needed) and providing excellent service to members, creating memorable experiences. Other duties include mixing cocktails, preparing the bar for service and ensuring it is in pristine condition.   

Key Accountabilities

• To create a welcoming environment for members when they approach the bar.
• To fulfil members’ drinks orders accurately and promptly in line with speed of service standards.
• To enquire about any allergy or dietary requirements. 
• To verify the age of guests checking identification if necessary.   
• To possess a strong understanding of the drinks menu in order to make recommendations on pairings and any other specific member requests.
• To enquiring if the members are satisfied with food or drink and following up to see if they need anything else. 
• To accommodate special requests where possible to creative a positive outcome which will result in a memorable member experience.
• To perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
• To work alongside the barbacks to ensure the bar is stocked up.
• To maintain a spotless and pristine working environment. 
• To provide members with the bill and processing payment.
• To attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.   
• To run drinks for the bar to the tables when needed.

Who are we hiring?  

As a Concession Associate at the Chicago Theater you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down your designated bar area. Count in and out all inventory items every shift. Serve snacks and beverages to guests in a timely and responsible manner. Maintain designated bar area clean and well stocked. Always promote positive guest/client experience and superior customer service. As a crucial member of our team, a Chicago Theatre Bartender may be requested to work a flexible schedule inclusive of early mornings, day & evening shifts (late evenings may be required), weekends, holidays and back to back events. All candidates must be available to work one third of the monthly shows scheduled. Additionally, a bartender may be assigned to an area where adverse temperature/weather conditions may affect them. The role…

At Soho House, the Bartender (Part-Time; 20-29 hours/week) is responsible for preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, serving food and providing excellent service accompanied by memorable experiences to all guests and members who visit a Soho House & Co. property. As a Bartender you are an extension of the brand, management team and global food and drink program. As a result, you will be responsible for professional behavior, charismatic and positive energy to create a fun environment that drives conversation and sales.

A successful Bartender will greet customers, learn and remember their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. To succeed as a Soho House Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable with a thirst for all things craft cocktails!

Main Duties

• Follow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee and drinks used at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and organized section as well as collaborate with other bartenders to; wash glassware and utensils after each use, Clean up after customers and clean work area.
• Educate guests and members about beverage options learned through House Tonic trainings.
• Discuss and describe daily specials, seasonally influenced menu items and food pairing options to promote additional sales through creating optimal experience for dining.
• Collect payment on all sold items and operate a cash register.
• Check identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products as well as determine when a customer has had too much alcohol.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays that promote specific beverage options and can increase overall sales and member/guest experience.
• Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies and delegate replenishment of items to Barbacks.

The role…

At Soho House, the Bartender is responsible for preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, serving food and providing excellent service accompanied by memorable experiences to all guests and members who visit a Soho House & Co. property. As a Bartender you are an extension of the brand, management team and global food and drink program. Key duties…

We have an opening for a Beverage Manager who leads and evolves our signature beverage program while playing an integral role in the overall daily restaurant operations across multiple dining venues at The Mather.
