Position Overview
The successful candidate performing will work in the mechanical analysis, thermal analysis and life prediction life soldered to a PCB and activities including design, and testing for electronic units and PCBs.
The successful candidate will be innovative, creative, and challenge the status quo. He or she will work well in teams while also having the ability to work assignments autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
- Mechanical design and modelling of electronic component for space applications. Preparation of preliminary design with layouts, sketches, preliminary strain analysis to support trade studies, using of fatigue models for the component terminations (SMD, thru hole, BGA), testing requirements, materials and processes.
- The use of fast ageing models to test quicker and assess the component life prediction in the solder.
- Develop and maintain design documentation: mechanical reports, thermal reports, joint fatigue reports, test procedures.
- Troubleshoot and investigate component anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and provide resolution.
- Develop mechanical/structure test plans and procedures, identify hardware needs, design of test set-ups.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Higher degree is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in joint fatigue analysis and testing of components.
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical skill in stress, strain, fatigue, including FEM computer methods using standard analytical tools and classical structural analysis methods. (ANSYS). Specific for components soldered to substrates or PCBs.
- Knowledge/experience of thermal cycling and fast aging models (Englemaier, Norris-Landzberg).
- Ability to perform analysis using APDL (code), to automatize analysis, and export only required results.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.
Soft Skills
- Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Technology Stack
- ANSYS, and APDL.
- Excel and Word macros in vba.
- CAD software: Autodesk Inventor, Vault
- Shop-floor tools, purpose is analysis correlation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to support national and international business travel occasionally (expected <5% of the time)

Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Junior Mechanical Engineer to work in our satellite mechanical subsystem & payload, contributing to the mechanical design, analysis, specification, testing, and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mechanical design and modelling of mechanical subsystems and payload. Preparation of preliminary design with layouts, sketches, testing requirements, materials, processes, and tools, define mechanical interfaces with other mechanical subsystems.
• Develop and maintain mechanical design documentation, manufacturing drawings, interface control drawings, test procedures and tooling (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly).
• Technical Support to AIT activities including fabrication, assembly, integration, and tests.
• Responsible for the design and capability of the system design to meet the technical requirements.
• Support in structural and thermal decisions and engineering trade-offs to find the best conceptual architectures and design.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Higher degree is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Mechanical space subsystems and payload and/or other equivalent applications is a plus.
• Experience using PDM and PLM software is a plus.
• Knowledge in GDIT is a plus.
Soft Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.
• Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
Technology Stack:
• CAD software (Inventor is preferred).

Who you are:

- Strong experience as an SDET / Quality Engineer with a focus on frameworks and tooling, not just test implementation
- Excellent programming skills in TypeScript / JavaScript
- Proven experience designing and maintaining test frameworks at scale
- Hands-on experience with modern automation tools (Playwright preferred)
- Strong understanding of test architecture patterns (test pyramid, separation of concerns, isolation strategies)
- Experience enabling teams through libraries, SDKs, or shared tooling
- Solid experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins), including pipeline optimization and debugging
- Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and designing reusable testing layers
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on root cause analysis and systemic improvements
- Comfortable working cross-team and acting as a technical reference for quality
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
