What You’ll Do

• Design, develop and evolve our AWS-based database deployments with a focus on scaling and automation
• Take ownership of database performance - pro-actively identify bottlenecks, improve configurations and work with other engineering teams to tune applications

Who You Are

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and managing database infrastructure in AWS (Aurora MySQl, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, Lambda, KMS, IAM and related services).

• Ability to design and implement lightweight scripts / glue code in bash, python or go
• Additional experience with Metabase, Opensearch or MongoDB Atlas is beneficial.

Mission of the role

You will be part of the team responsible for operating one of the largest and most complex hosting platforms in Europe.

Your mission will be to ensure the stability, performance, and evolution of the Stretch platform, working directly on critical production systems and contributing to the continuous improvement of a highly distributed infrastructure.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of one of our autonomous agile teams. You will help us develop the services that power the Blacklane, work on improving our back-office system, or solve problems around our products which allow business partners to integrate with the Blacklane platform.

The goal of the Payments team is to enable revenue generation for the entire Proton ecosystem. What You Will Do 

We are looking for a Engineering Manager (Web Platform) to lead a team of engineers with a strong focus on modern web development stacks to help build and maintain the backend for our Game LiveOps platform. In this role, you’ll work closely with product teams, designers, and other disciplines to deliver high-performance tools and features that support real-time operations and engaging gameplay experiences.

• Leadership: Lead a high performing team of fullstack engineers by proposing and implementing improvements to the development processes, workflows and tools, to increase efficiency, quality and throughput.

• Leadership: track record of working in complex products (games is a bonus), leading initiatives from 0 to 1 with high degree of collaboration and quality with cross functional teams and multiple teams working on the same product and the same roadmap
• Backend Proficiency: hands-on experience in modern backend languages (Python strongly preferred; Go or C# also a plus).
