We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of Anduril’s flagship hardware and software products in support of customer missions. You will:

• Lead and work with a diverse team of engineers around the world, with opportunities to grow a local team
• Work with multiple internal and external partners to ensure customers receive best-in-class products
• Build and integrate various external software and hardware products into Anduril products
• Derive and communicate requirements from multiple customers and partners, operating in complex and challenging environments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• High ownership and autonomy across the end-to-end lifecycle of software development. Strong technical acumen to deliver high-quality code in a disconnected environment.
• A deep, demonstrated understanding of how computers and networks work, from a single desktop to a multi-cluster cloud node.
• At least 7+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc.
• Experience with customer-oriented UI/UX development.
• Experience building scalable backend software systems with various data storage and processing requirements.
• Experience with industry standard cloud platforms (ideally GCP, OCI), CI/CD tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems).
• Experience leading small teams of cross functional engineers to design, build, and deploy software systems.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
• Current Australian Government NV2 Security Clearance is mandatory
• Able to work across multiple timezones, primarily Australia Eastern and Pacific

We expect Software Engineering Managers to demonstrate end-to-end outcome ownership of a major system within an integrated product, and the team responsible for building and maintaining it. Software Engineering Managers contribute as a team lead to the rapid architecting, design, delivery, support, and evolution of next generation autonomous platforms through their entire product life-cycle.

• Empathize with end-users and drive solutions that balance their needs with external constraints, restrictions and requirements in a multi-stakeholder environment

At Anduril Australia we are developing unmanned systems for subsurface and other domains that will leverage unsupervised autonomy for the delivery of long endurance, multi-mission capability to our customers. These projects, including but not limited to the Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL-AUV) Program, require Site Reliability Engineers with deep experience in modern software development, delivery and sustainment toolchains. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer strives to leverage their experience to rapidly architect, design, delivery, support and evolve toolchains required to delivery next-generation autonomous systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the design, development, implementation and support of next-generation software delivery toolchains that enable the continuous and secure delivery of capabilities orders of magnitude faster than the competition, including in times of national crisis and across multiple national security classification domains
• Manage modern ICT systems at the infrastructure layer, including providers and/or technologies such as AWS, Azure, and VMWare ESXi
• Manage modern ICT systems at the operating system layer, including operating systems such as NixOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, and Microsoft Windows
• Manage modern ICT systems at the orchestration layer, including technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform

Staff Software Engineers lead the delivery of a variety of software integrated in to our products, acting as technical leads, extremely senior individual contributors, and/or as team leads that are also hands-on contributors. Our Production Engineering team is a global team that supports Jump’s diverse global trading infrastructure that operates across many global traditional and crypto financial markets. What you’ll do: 

• Help build, manage, and maintain a sophisticated validator infrastructure and tooling for one of the world’s top proprietary trading firms.
• Working with software that is bleeding-edge and doing interesting things (consensus algorithms, distributed systems, cryptography) which often presents challenging technical problems.
• Take responsibility for a wide range of on-chain infrastructure, including validators, light clients, and RPC nodes.

Skills you’ll need:

• Prior experience with a range of orchestration and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, and Salt).
• Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining complex systems.
• Familiarity with on-chain trading, DeFi, and risk management is preferred, but not required.
