GigaGrid has an exciting opportunity for a Power Electronics Intern to join our team, for the Summer Internship Program. If working on cutting edge renewables and next generation clean energy solutions is your calling, we look forward to our conversation with you. The position will directly be working with the Product Engineering team supporting our dispatchable renewable ecosystem.
GigaGrid is highly selective about the people we bring on board—our work depends on it! Therefore, the Power Electronics Intern must be agile and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person should be professional, trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work equally as well independently as with a team. We’re seeking ultra-creatives and superstar performers with a sense of humility and a hunger to make a positive impact in the world. Are you ready to #jointhejourney?
Include but are not limited to:
A fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture focused on innovation.
A flexible, autonomous work environment.
A culture of respect, learning, and excellence.
Experienced, highly talented experts as team peers.
Growth and travel opportunities.
A team of change-makers having a significant impact on people and the planet.
The GigaGrid product team is developing a plug-and-play framework for monitoring and controlling the power grid. The flagship solution, from GigaGrid is a 100% dispatchable, distributed solution that is simpler and lower cost than current solar + storage systems. It combines solar PV arrays with 2.5 hours, 5 hours, or 10 hours of modular battery storage, tri-port power converters and integrated racking. It reduces the levelized cost of energy and increases energy delivered by avoiding most of the solar clipping and roundtrip losses in conventional systems. Because the power is 100% dispatchable, it allows for grid insertion anytime, whenever it is most valuable. This dramatically improves the economics of solar energy by minimizing the reliance on energy sales during peak daylight hours when solar power can have little or no value as a grid resource.
GigaGrid is part of the Endeavour Energy ecosystem, a purpose-driven organization helping innovators to develop and launch global solutions for global challenges in the areas of energy, water, and waste to guarantee renewable energy and clean water to everyone, everywhere. Endeavour companies are made up of passionate change-makers who want to leave the world better than the way we found it. Today, Endeavour is deploying solutions that are immediately scalable and profitable, including EV charging, data center cooling, and waste to fuel systems. As we look to the future, Endeavour and GigaGrid intend to remain at the forefront of innovation, taking on grander challenges based on the needs of our clients and of local economies.
