Sr. Solutions Architect (Lakewatch - EMEA) 

The Solutions Architect (Lakewatch) team executes on Databricks’ strategic Product Operating Model that provides enhanced focus on earlier stage, highly prioritized product lines in order to establish product market fit, and set the course for rapid revenue growth. They are part of a global go-to-market team mandate, though individually will cover a specific, local region.  Clients may span across one or more business units and verticals. By working in partnership with direct account teams, they will jointly engage clients, foster the necessary relationships, position in-depth the specific product line, so as to provide compelling reasons for clients to adopt and grow the usage of the given product.  They understand the appropriate approach, the guardrails, and the steps needed to successfully adopt the product line, as clients deliver on their business objectives.

The Solutions Architect (Lakewatch) is paired with an Account Executive aligned to the product line with specific targets accordingly. Together, they will devise and implement a strategy across their assigned set of accounts, develop presentations, demos and other assets and deliver them such that customers make an informed decision as they decide to adopt the product-line in a meaningful way.

The Lakewatch product-line requires the following core technical competencies:

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, security operations (SecOps), or security architecture expertise, with a proven track record of designing and delivering customer-facing security solutions (of which 3+ years are in a customer-facing, pre-sales or consulting role).
• Experience with design and implementation of data and AI applications in cybersecurity, including anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, and agentic AI workflows for triage and investigation.
• Deep familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or similar), including deployment, tuning, detection engineering, and migration strategies. Familiarity with SOAR platforms is also desirable.
• Strong understanding of the security telemetry landscape: endpoint (EDR/XDR), network (firewall, DNS, proxy), identity (Okta, Entra ID), cloud (AWS CloudTrail, Azure Activity Log, GCP Audit), and SaaS application logs. Familiarity with standards such as OCSF.
• Experience with “detection-as-code” workflows, including rule authoring in SQL or YAML, CI/CD integration for detection pipelines, and MITRE ATT&CK framework mapping.
• Credibility in influencing security analytics products with the market insight needed to shape and prioritize roadmap capabilities.

The impact you will have

• Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers to successful implementations on big data projects, ranging from architectural design to data engineering to model deployment
• Collaborate with GTM leadership and account teams to design and execute high-impact engagement strategies across your territory, driving Lakewatch adoption from initial data offload through full SIEM augmentation or replacement.
• As a trusted advisor, serve as an expert Solutions Architect building technical credibility with CISOs, security architects, SOC leadership, and security analysts to drive product adoption and vision.
• Enable clients at scale through workshops, POC execution, and developing customer-facing collateral that increases technical knowledge and demonstrates the value of an open agentic SIEM architecture.
• Influence product roadmap by translating field-derived, data-driven insights into strategic recommendations for Product and Engineering teams.
• Handle the most complex technical challenges in this product line by acting as the tier-3 escalation point for the field, ensuring customer success in mission-critical security environments.
• Establish and refine the sales qualification and POC intake process, ensuring well-scoped engagements that maximize customer success and minimize friction for R&D.

Competencies & Responsibilities

• 5+ years in a customer-facing, pre-sales or consulting role influencing technical executives, driving high-level security strategy and product adoption.
• Experience with design and implementation of data and AI applications in cybersecurity, including anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, and agentic AI workflows for triage and investigation.
• Proficient in programming, debugging, and problem-solving using SQL and Python and with AI tools.

About the Role

In this role, you will design and deliver multi-petabyte storage systems purpose-built for the world’s largest AI training and inference workloads. You’ll architect high-performance parallel filesystems and object stores, evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies such as WekaFS, Ceph, and Lustre, and drive aggressive cost optimization-routinely achieving 30-50% savings through intelligent tiering, lifecycle policies, capacity forecasting, and right-sizing. 

You will also build Kubernetes-native storage operators and self-service platforms that provide automated provisioning, strict multi-tenancy, performance isolation, and quota enforcement at cluster scale. Day-to-day, you’ll optimize end-to-end data paths for 10-50 GB/s per node, design multi-tier caching architectures, implement intelligent prefetching and model-weight distribution, and tune parallel filesystems for AI workloads.

Requirements

• 8+ years in storage engineering with 3+ years managing distributed storage at multi-petabyte scale

• Proven track record deploying and operating high-performance storage for GPU/HPC clusters

• Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native storage experience in production environments

• Strong coding skills in Go and Python with demonstrated ability to build production-grade tools

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

The qualifications you need:

As an IT Automation & Integration Engineer in the IT Systems & Services (ITSS) team, you will play a key role in driving scalable, secure, and intelligent automation across Catawiki’s internal systems. • Build and Manage System Integrations: Architect and deploy system integrations using REST APIs, Webhooks, and OpenAPI specifications, ensuring reliable and secure data flows across internal platforms.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience & Background
• 5+ years of experience in IT automation, system integration, or infrastructure engineering.
• Direct experience working with or managing iPaaS platforms such as Okta Workflow,  N8N, Workato, Tray.io, Boomi, Zapier, or MuleSoft. Preferably, direct experience producing production-grade automations in N8N.
• Technical Skills
• Proficient in Python and Node.js for automation and scripting.
• Proficient in using iPaaS, N8N, or any other iPaaS platforms for automations.

• Experience working with PostgreSQL and large datasets.

As a Staff Solutions Engineer (SE) at Upbound, you'll be a vital part of our pre-sales team. This role will support all pre-sales efforts in the EMEA region across multiple segments. Once a lead is discovered and qualified, the Solutions Engineer works directly with the customer to understand the technical business problem they are trying to solve. They will help customers navigate and understand the value Upbound products and solutions bring them. Solutions Engineers build credible technical relationships with our customers by listening and then clearly communicating the value proposition of our products in a way that is contextualized to the customer’s specific needs.

Solutions Engineers are deeply familiar with Upbound’s product roadmap and will intuit when to sell ahead of our product roadmap and when to focus on existing solutions based on the customer’s medium and long term vision. Solutions Engineers are expected to deeply understand the key technical and economic buyer's personalities and what it will take to get them to sign a deal.

In this role, you will: 

• Partnering with a Sales Account Executive to engage in technical discussions with customers throughout the buying lifecycle.
• Working cross functionally with product marketing, and independently, to create and deliver high fidelity presentations, custom demos, sample solutions, and present use cases to guide the customer through the buying journey
• Closely partnering with customers and platform builders to solve technical and business challenges which enables them to design, build and implement Crossplane and Upbound Cloud based control plane architectures.
• Working directly with customers and platform builders to define, implement, and test out early proof of concepts of Crossplane and Upbound Cloud.
• Collect detailed customer requirements so product and engineering can accurately estimate and resource the necessary implementation services.
• The technical voice and trusted advisor to the customer and represent the customer needs internally.
• Project manage the account pre and post sale to ensure a smooth and frictionless customer experience through implementation in partnership with Solutions Architect and implementation teams. 

You are a good fit if you have: 

• Worked in pre-sales, consulting, or equivalent experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience developing relationships with engineering, executive, and commercial teams throughout large organizations.
• Guided customers through designing and deploying Kubernetes to their production environments.
• A deep understanding of highly scaled and reliable services, solutions, and infrastructure in multiple major cloud providers.
• Worked directly with customers and/or open source community members to troubleshoot and solve their complex technical issues preventing successful adoption.
• Deployed and integrated the projects and tools of the Cloud Native Landscape, especially CNCF projects, into production environments.
• A deep understanding of modern operational and application delivery tools and methodologies inside of production deployment workflows, like those from HashiCorp (e.g. Terraform), CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps.
• The ability to work closely with people in a wide variety of disciplines from a wide variety of backgrounds.
