Job Summary
Actuary, Model Validation develops and maintains our Microsoft Excel based model validation tools for various use cases and product lines. The tools are essential to our governance process and need to be maintained in an efficient manner. This role will also ensure that we look for ways to continue to gain efficiencies in the process, possibly utilizing additional applications.
This position reports to the AVP, Model Validation and will manage 2 actuarial resource, including responsibilities for developing the actuarial staff.

This AVP, Modeling role reports to the VP, FACET Modeling Actuary. The Fortitude Analytics and Computational Evaluation Tool (FACET) is an in-house build actuarial modeling platform supporting statutory, GAAP, capital, hedging, embedded value, and long-range projection use cases. The platform is in a rapid-moving phase to standup and expand. The AVP, Modeling Actuary will play a critical role to ensure the timely delivery of modeling capacities with operation integrity, and ensure FACET remains stable, auditable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise financial and risk objectives.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The AVP, VA Financial Reporting Actuary Manager role is a key role that leads, delivers and directly participates in the key deliverables of the Variable Annuity financial reporting team. The role is responsible for executing all aspects of US statutory / tax and US GAAP reserves and financial reporting for the VA block, as well as Cash Flow Testing, stress testing and EV/Strategic Plan projections. The role includes delivery and communication of results to outside stakeholders and it is generally expected that ownership of key reporting projects within the VA financial reporting team will be split amongst the AVP positions. The AVP, VA Financial Reporting Actuary Manager is also responsible for managing a team, leading and developing a high-performing team while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy through proactive coaching, succession planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Summary
F&G is hiring for a Sr. Associate Actuary on the New Business Rate Setting team. This position is responsible for performing rate setting analysis, pricing, and risk analysis for F&G’s Annuity products, in accordance with established pricing guidelines and profitability targets to achieve F&G’s product strategy.
This position reports directly to the Director, New Business Rate Setting. The position is expected to interact with the inforce management, modeling, and finance teams as well as others across disciplines and functions.
