About the role
OBJECTIVES
As a Senior Game QA Engineer at Amanotes, you will be responsible for the invisible backbone of our music-game ecosystem. You will ensure that our Game Facing Systems (asset delivery, real-time gameplay operations, monetization) and Internal Music Pipelines perform in perfect harmony, delivering a flawless, high-performance experience to millions of players worldwide.
You will ensure our music games meet rigorous quality standards through manual and automated testing. We value a holistic view of quality and seek an engineer eager to leverage AI-assisted tools and Computer Vision to automate gameplay mechanics (such as object detection and dynamic UI) and solve intricate infrastructure or performance challenges.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Multi-Project Quality Oversight: Define and implement the Game QA & Automation strategy for multiple concurrent titles and shared game services, ensuring consistent quality standards across platforms (iOS, Android).
AI-Native & Intelligent Automation:
Build and maintain self-healing scripts that don't break when game UI or asset layouts change.
Implement Computer Vision (OpenCV) or Object Detection to simulate realistic player behavior, tap precision (Real-time rhythm synchronization), and handle canvas-based gameplay elements.
Bug Lifecycle Management: Direct the flow of bug reporting, triaging, and verification. Provide clear, actionable data (including device logs, memory dumps, and performance profiles) to the game developers and product teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Game Developers (Unity) to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, optimizing build verification time and documenting results for cross-functional visibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of software & game testing methodologies. Hands-on experience with mobile test frameworks (Appium, Airtest Project, AltTester, Unity Test Framework, Appium + OpenCV, Python + WDA + ADB + Image Recognition, Autoit... (or any equivalent mobile automation tool).
Programming: Have knowledge in Python or C# or Java to build, scale, and maintain sophisticated automated test scripts for game clients.
Game Testing Mindset: Deep understanding of mobile game-specific challenges (device fragmentation, frame rate drops, network latency, asynchronous loading, and memory leaks).
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical/gameplay bugs to non-technical stakeholders.
Mindset: A curious mindset with the ability to work independently and a willingness to master new AI technologies rapidly.
NICE TO HAVE
AI-Native QA Mindset: Experience implementing AI-assisted testing tools (ScoutQA, Mabl, Testim, or Playwright) or applying Machine Learning/OpenCV to automate non-locator game elements (3D/2D Objects).
CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Understanding of version control systems (Git) and integrating automated game testing into continuous integration/deployment pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
