What you will be doing
Co-own communications strategy and the external voice of Faculty
Own media messaging and narrative development, continually ensuring our external positioning remains thoughtful and unique, yet punchy and news-generating
Partner deeply with Faculty’s co-founder and CEO and global CTO of Accenture, advising him thoughtfully and decisively as you position him as a leading global voice on AI at the same time as building his profile with key stakeholder groups
Confidently and effectively operate across both highly matrixed global organisations, as well as rapidly growing scale up environments, using astute judgement and broader soft skills to influence and educate a range of stakeholders
Rapidly scale Faculty’s external communications programme, including media relations, executive communications, client communication and corporate communications
Think creatively and expansively beyond traditional media to identify and shape new opportunities for growing Faculty’s voice.
Build a network of key relationships within our parent organisation Accenture
Bring bold ideas, energy and vision - using your skills and experience to take communications at Faculty to a new level
Quickly earn and maintain the trust of Faculty leadership to act as a trusted advisor on external communications matters, including in high-stakes or crisis situations.
Establish deep, lasting cross-functional relationships in order to understand the impact AI is having on our industries and customers, and to use that insight to shape the company’s external communications programme.
Partner closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Head of Marketing, and the Head of International Communications and Growth to develop and deliver integrated strategies
Grow and safeguard Faculty’s brand and reputation and anchor important decisions in our mission - the safe, widespread adoption of AI
Who we're looking for
Communications: 10+ years of experience leading external, executive and strategic communications for a leading brand in the AI / technology space and / or similar at a leading PR firm
Storytelling: Deep understanding of the global AI discourse and a proven ability to craft, own and evolve global strategic narratives
Leadership: Proven ability to coach and mentor highly capable teams, as well as being part of a broader leadership group
Stakeholder management: Experience working hand in glove with C-suite leaders and founders, earning trust through sound judgment and a bias for delivery.
Internal alignment: Proven ability to work across teams and disciplines, often with high levels of ambiguity, and drive coordination and control in order to deliver overarching communications objectives
Strategic thinking: An ability to operate at the upper echelons of a business, and to show how communications strategy is both aligned to commercial goals and is actively helping achieve them
Parsimonious communications style: Exceptional written skills with the ability to precisely draft everything from executive keynotes and press releases to corporate narratives and media briefing notes
Modern media mix: Proven understanding of the modern media landscape, and being equally comfortable placing spokespeople across emerging platforms as traditional ones.
Technical Translation: Proven ability to distill complex AI and other technical concepts into accessible narratives for a range of audiences
AI Subject Matter Expertise: Deep understanding of AI, in particular its transformative benefits when adopted into enterprises and governments, as well as associated risks.
