About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Band Saw Operator / Storeperson to join our Palmerston North warehouse on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with an immediate start available.

This is a Monday to Friday role, with working hours between 6:00am and 5:00pm, depending on operational needs.

What you’ll be doing

• Operate band saws to cut steel to specification
• Use forklifts and cranes to move materials safely
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders
• Complete stock receipting and dispatch documentation
• Perform quality checks (dimensions, quantities, product condition)
• Maintain warehouse organisation and safety standards

Requirements

• Band saw / metal cutting experience (essential)
• Experience working with steel or stainless steel products
• Proven warehouse experience – picking, packing, dispatch, receipting
• Ability to read cutting lists, job sheets & measurements accurately
• Forklift licence and experience (F endorsement highly preferred)
• Experience with overhead/gantry cranes (advantage)
• Basic computer skills (packing slips, stock systems)
