Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Engineer with experience in SaaS platforms and IoT technologies to support enterprise customers in designing smart workplace and analytics solutions. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to understand customer requirements, develop technical solutions, and drive successful customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting

  • Partner with Sales and Account Managers to understand customer business needs and recommend suitable technical solutions.
  • Conduct discovery workshops to gather business and technical requirements.
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures involving SaaS applications, IoT devices, APIs, cloud platforms, and analytics.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and solution workshops.
  • Prepare technical proposals and support RFP, RFQ, and tender submissions.

Solution Design & Technical Support

  • Design smart workplace and analytics solutions, including occupancy analytics, indoor environmental quality (IEQ), sustainability and energy analytics, asset tracking, queue management, and space utilization.
  • Recommend appropriate sensors, gateways, and edge devices for customer deployments.
  • Define system integrations, data flows, and cloud architecture.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to validate solution feasibility and support successful implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance during customer evaluations, integrations, and deployments.

Product & Market Enablement

  • Stay updated on emerging SaaS, IoT, AI, and workplace technology trends.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide input to Product Management.
  • Develop reusable solution templates, technical documentation, and demo environments.
  • Conduct technical enablement sessions for internal teams and partners.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, Solution Consulting, or Technical Account Management.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms, cloud-based solutions, and IoT technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise customers and delivering technical presentations, workshops, and demonstrations.
  • Experience with smart buildings, workplace technology, analytics platforms, or API integrations is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of:

  • SaaS architecture and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • REST APIs, JSON, Webhooks, and system integrations.
  • IoT technologies such as LoRaWAN, BLE, MQTT, Modbus, BACnet, or Zigbee.
  • Data visualization and analytics platforms.
  • Networking fundamentals and security concepts.
  • Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
