We are looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Fraud Analyst to join our Risk Team. This role focuses on fraud detection and risk management within the acquiring side of the payments business, with a particular emphasis on supporting the development and maintenance of fraud detection systems.
The successful candidate will contribute to building and optimizing internal fraud monitoring frameworks, assisting with risk rule configuration, and helping improve fraud detection processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in payments fraud, with exposure to card scheme operations, compliance frameworks, and real-world fraud challenges.

What you will do:
- Support the configuration and application of fraud risk rules across the acquiring side of the business
- Contribute to the development and optimization of fraud detection systems, including rules, alerts, workflows, and system improvement ideas
- Maintain and improve the existing acquiring fraud monitoring framework
- Assist in identifying fraud patterns, emerging trends, and potential risk exposure
- Translate fraud rules, risk logic, and fraud typologies into clear written documentation for internal teams
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Tech Support teams to identify pain points and propose system or feature improvements
- Support fraud incident investigations, escalation handling, and root cause analysis
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of fraud risk policies and procedures
- Support PCI DSS-related compliance initiatives and internal documentation
What we need:
Must-have
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in fraud, risk, AML, KYC, compliance, operations, or payments-related roles (fintech experience is a plus)
- Basic understanding of fraud prevention concepts and common fraud patterns (e.g. account takeover, friendly fraud, stolen card usage)
- Some understanding of the payments ecosystem and transaction lifecycle
- Exposure to fraud monitoring tools, case management systems, or transaction review processes
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate suspicious activity and identify patterns
- Comfortable working with data (Excel, Google Sheets, or basic BI/reporting tools)
- Ability to explain technical or complex concepts clearly and simply
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- High attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take ownership in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and curiosity about the payments industry
- Motivation to build a career in fraud prevention and risk management
Nice-to-have
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or e-commerce environments
- Exposure to fraud tools, risk engines, or transaction monitoring platforms
- Familiarity with chargebacks, card scheme basics, or dispute processes
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker) or SQL
- Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
- Awareness of compliance frameworks such as PCI Security Standards Council / PCI DSS

- Video Assessment: If selected, you will complete a short video assessment (max 30 mins) via our platform, answering a few questions designed to assess your communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- TA Interview: Conducted by the Talent Acquisition team (35 min).
