Companies Sereact Technical Documentation Engineer

About the role

Sereact · Hybrid

Who We Are:

We build the intelligence that lets robots sense, reason, and act in the real world, moving beyond the lab and into everyday industrial settings like warehouses and factories. Our technology closes the automation gaps that traditional systems can’t solve. We are on a mission to redefine how physical work gets done, and we’re looking for curious, bold thinkers to help shape the future of robotics with us.

Overview:

We are looking for a talented Technical Documentation Engineer to make our products easy to understand, deploy, operate, and maintain. In this role, you'll own the technical documentation across our hardware and software—from operating and installation manuals to maintenance guides, safety and compliance documentation, and product/API references. You'll turn complex engineering into clear, accurate, and accessible content, build the structures and standards that keep our documentation consistent as we scale, and act as the bridge between our engineering teams and the people who use our robots every day.

Your Responsibilities:

Documentation & Content:

  • Create and maintain operating, installation, commissioning, and maintenance manuals for our robotic systems.

  • Produce safety and compliance documentation (e.g. CE marking, instructions for use) in line with relevant standards and directives.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into structured, user-friendly content for diverse audiences (operators, integrators, developers).

  • Build and maintain documentation standards: templates, style guides, terminology, and version control.

  • Create supporting visuals such as diagrams, exploded views, screenshots, and step-by-step illustrations.

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and product teams to gather information and keep content accurate and up to date.

  • Manage documentation workflows, reviews, and (where needed) localization and translation.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in technical documentation, ideally in robotics, automation, machinery, or hardware/software products.

  • Experience documenting both hardware and software products is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with safety and compliance documentation (e.g. Machinery Directive, IEC/IEEE 82079) is a plus.

Skills

  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English; German is a strong plus.

  • Proficiency with documentation and authoring tools.

  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and explain them clearly and precisely.

  • Strong sense of structure, consistency, and attention to detail.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to extract information from busy engineers.

Our interview plan:

  • Application

  • Take‑home assignment: You'll work on a short, role‑relevant task with clear instructions and a deadline.

  • Cultural fit interview (40 min): A conversation about how you work, what motivates you, and what you're looking for. Expect CV highlights, your "why," and time for your questions.

  • Technical fit interview (45 min): A deeper dive into your skills and problem‑solving approach for this role.

  • On‑site visit: Meet the team in our office and collaborate on a real challenge similar to the work you'd do here. You'll also meet a founder; we aim to give you a clear feel for the role and environment.

What We Offer:

  • Wellpass (gym membership)

  • Flexible working hours

  • A motivated team and an open corporate culture

  • Competitive compensation and excellent career development opportunities

Note to applicants: We are currently experiencing a high volume of interest in this role. Due to this, our review process is taking a bit longer than usual. We appreciate your patience.
