Hourly Rate: £35-36
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (TBC)
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 8a Pharmacist – Aseptic Services to join the team at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled pharmacist with recent acute NHS hospital experience to support the delivery of specialist aseptic pharmacy services within a busy hospital environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant provision of aseptic products, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to maintain the highest standards of patient care and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist pharmaceutical support to aseptic services within the Trust
- Ensure the safe and effective preparation, supply, and management of aseptic products
- Support compliance with relevant legislation, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and local policies
- Provide expert clinical and technical advice on aseptic services
- Contribute to quality assurance, risk management, and governance activities
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy, nursing, and medical teams to optimise patient care
- Support the continuous development and improvement of aseptic pharmacy services
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Recent and relevant experience working within an acute NHS hospital
- Significant experience within Aseptic Services
- Strong understanding of GMP, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent clinical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Enhanced DBS required
