How You’ll Make an Impact
We’re looking for an experienced Atlassian Platform Administrator to join our Product & Technology (P&T) Operations team. You’ll be a primary subject matter expert for our Atlassian Cloud suite owning configuration, automation, and developer tooling for the software development teams we support.
This is a hands-on role that blends day-to-day platform administration with meaningful project work: building automation, integrating tools, and designing scalable workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and IT teams to keep our Atlassian environment running smoothly and evolving to meet new needs.
The P&T Operations team sits at the intersection of tooling, process, and enablement. We keep the platforms that our engineers, product managers, and IT staff rely on every day running reliably and we build the workflows and automation that help those teams do their best work. You’ll work alongside a small, collaborative team that values craft, curiosity, and a low-ego approach to problem-solving.
What You Will Do
- Administer our full Atlassian Cloud suite — Jira Software, JSM, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery, Bitbucket, StatusPage, and Guard — including user accounts, permissions, project configurations, and Marketplace/Forge app management
- Design and maintain custom workflows, issue type schemes, screen schemes, and automation rules (native Automation and ScriptRunner/Groovy) that match how engineering and product teams actually work
- Build and maintain JQL-based filters, dashboards, and reports that surface actionable insights for engineering and product leaders
- Develop REST API integrations and bespoke functionality using ScriptRunner, Groovy and/or JavaScript to connect Atlassian products to adjacent systems
- Gather requirements from cross-functional stakeholders, translate them into scalable platform configurations, and maintain thorough documentation of all customizations and processes
- Provide escalated support and contribute to roadmap planning for the P&T tooling ecosystem
The Experience You Bring
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian Cloud products in a technology or SaaS environment
- Deep JQL knowledge and demonstrated experience customizing workflows, permission schemes, screen schemes, and notification schemes at scale
- Proficiency with ScriptRunner and Groovy for Jira automation; comfort with JavaScript and REST APIs for custom integrations
- Experience configuring Jira Service Management (JSM) including SLAs, queues, portals, and ITSM workflows
- Familiarity with Jira Product Discovery (JPD) and linking discovery work to delivery
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with engineering and product stakeholders at all levels
- Familiarity with PDLC and SDLC: you understand how the teams you support accomplish their work
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with eazyBI for Jira Cloud for advanced reporting and custom metrics
- Familiarity with Atlassian Guard (access security, CASB, audit logging)
- Experience with Forge app development or Atlassian Connect app configuration
- Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions alongside Bitbucket
- Basic SQL proficiency for querying operational data sources
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling in Atlassian or adjacent platforms

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our corporate headquarters in Conshohocken, PA ranges from $85K - $106K. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience. An overview of our benefits can be found here.
