About the role
Do you thrive in high-stakes negotiations and enjoy helping businesses close deals while managing risk? We're looking for a Sr. Contracts Manager to join our growing team at Convey.
This is a highly visible role where you'll partner directly with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Executive Leadership to negotiate and structure commercial agreements that support business growth. You'll serve as a strategic advisor throughout the deal lifecycle—helping accelerate revenue, improve contract processes, and create scalable frameworks that enable the business to move faster.
What you'll be doing:
Leading negotiations for customer, vendor, partner, and technology agreements
Collaborating with Sales and leadership teams to drive deals from proposal through signature
Advising stakeholders on contract strategy, risk, and business terms
Developing and refining contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines
Supporting strategic initiatives, partnerships, and corporate transactions
Managing outside counsel and legal resources when specialized expertise is needed
Helping build scalable processes that balance growth, customer experience, and risk management
We're looking for someone who brings:
8+ years of experience negotiating and drafting commercial agreements
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing legal professionals or cross-functional teams; prior people management experience is preferred as this role will play an important leadership role in the continued growth of our legal function
Strong business acumen and a practical, solutions-oriented approach
Experience partnering with revenue teams and executive stakeholders
Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Bonus points for:
SaaS or technology industry experience
Private Equity-backed company experience
M&A or due diligence exposure
Experience leveraging AI tools to improve legal and contract workflows
This role reports directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to help shape how commercial agreements are structured and negotiated across a rapidly growing technology company.
