Job Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement brokerage business strategies to achieve the business KPIs for Direct-to-Business and Partner/Agent Sales teams.
  • Ensure business plans for each business channel are aligned with commercial goals, focusing on growth and profitability.
  • Monitor the performance of all teams to ensure the brokerage business hits its sales and revenue targets.

2. Sales & Client Acquisition:

  • Supervise and closely track the performance of the Direct-to-Business and Agency channel
  • Sales teams, ensuring alignment with sales targets on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Oversee and optimize sales processes to ensure pipelines and opportunities growth to drive profitable business
  • Ensure all teams are driving client acquisition effectively and work towards exceeding revenue goals.

3. Insurance Placement & Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Placement to secure optimal terms from insurers and maintain strong partnerships.
  • Ensure the placement team provides the best commercial offers on time, supporting the brokerage in meeting customer needs.
  • Support placement team with new binder development to support sales channel needs.
  • Use your network in the insurance industry to enhance support to the brokerage business

4. Operational Excellence & Financial Oversight:

  • Oversee finance reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Regional Office.
  • Monitor and enhance reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and transparency, particularly for monthly numbers and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuously improve processes to support business growth.

5. Team Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Lead the brokerage team, working with the Head of Sales, Head of Placement, and other leaders to ensure targets are met.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, ensuring the teams stay on track to meet goals, and provide mentorship to improve team output.
  • Conduct regular checkups with the Regional Office to assess business health, review performance metrics, and ensure that the brokerage business is on track.
  • Other roles and responsibilities as determined by Regional Office from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry with proven track record in building, scaling, and managing agency and/or brokerage channels
  • Hold professional relevant Indonesian insurance certifications (APARI) is a significant advantage
  • Deep understanding of OJK regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong experience in non-life Agency and Broking for both B2B and/or B2C insurance distribution models
  • Experience working in an Insurtech or a digitally-forward brokerage environment 
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, distribution channels, and market trends.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams.
