Salesforce QA Analyst (Email Specialist)

Position Summary
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) QA Tester to join our team and ensure the quality and performance of marketing automation campaigns, emails, journeys, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience testing SFMC components, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and APIs. This role requires strong attention to detail, test case development, and troubleshooting skills to optimize campaign delivery and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across SFMC modules (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, etc.).
- Validate email templates, personalization, dynamic content, AMPscript, and data extensions.
- Test marketing automations, triggers, and audience segmentation logic.
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or other bug-tracking tools.
- Verify API integrations between SFMC and external systems (Salesforce CRM, databases, third-party platforms).
- Ensure compliance with email best practices, deliverability standards, and CAN-SPAM/GDPR regulations.
- Collaborate with marketing, development, and data teams to improve campaign performance and resolve issues.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to optimize workflows, processes, and automation accuracy.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in QA testing for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or related email marketing platforms.
- Hands-on experience testing AMPscript, SSJS, SQL queries, and dynamic content.
- Familiarity with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Data Extensions.
- Experience validating SFMC API integrations (REST/SOAP).
- Strong understanding of email rendering across devices, browsers, and email clients.
- Experience with QA tools like JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, or Postman.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation in SFMC.
- Knowledge of email deliverability, tracking metrics, and email marketing compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in an Agile environment.
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between the values at the bottom of this posting. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
