Management Accountant

Wilmslow • Hybrid • £42,000 - £46,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus + benefits

Zest4 (part of Focus Group) is looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and maintaining strong financial controls.

What you’ll do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting into Group in line with set timelines
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
• Produce and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
• Provide clear commentary on financial performance and key variances
• Maintain accurate ledgers to reflect the current business position
• Support the Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team with financial insights
• Work with group colleagues and external advisors, supporting audit and strategic initiatives
• Run and review control reports (e.g. aged debtors/creditors, cashbook)
• Support the wider business with finance processes, ensuring clarity and consistency
• Handle large volumes of financial data with a high level of accuracy

What you’ll bring

• 2+ Years as a management accountant
• Experience producing management accounts from trial balance
• Understanding of finance systems / ERP platforms
• Working knowledge of VAT returns and financial controls
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a finance role
• Qualified or finalist accounting qualification
• Strong numerical, organisational, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

• Staff management experience
• Experience within the telecoms or technology sector
• Experience with Sage or Microsoft Dynamics 365
