Companies HealthVerity Senior Manager, People Business Partner

About the role

HealthVerity · Hybrid

ROLE OVERVIEW

As Senior Manager, People Business Partner at HealthVerity, you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders across the organization. You will show up as someone leaders genuinely want in their corner. Someone who brings both strategic thinking and real warmth to the work, and helps leaders build high-performing where people thrive. You will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, shaping people strategies while staying close enough to the day-to-day to be the partner leaders actually need.

This is also an especially meaningful moment to join us. We recently welcomed Symphony Health into the HealthVerity family, and you will play a thoughtful role in that integration, helping people across the organization find their footing, build new connections, and develop the capabilities needed to set our combined business up for long-term success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with leaders to shape people strategies that support team health, performance, and growth, thinking beyond the day-to-day to help leaders build the teams they need for where the business is headed.
  • Be a trusted coach and thought partner to people leaders and senior leaders, helping them navigate complexity, lead through change, and continue to grow in their roles.
  • Drive performance and development cycles with rigor and care, leading calibrations, supporting written feedback, and helping leaders build meaningful growth plans that inspire and accelerate team member development.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies across your client groups, bringing a point of view on what great looks like and helping leaders make strong decisions.
  • Use people data thoughtfully, surfacing trends, identifying risks, and helping leaders tell the story of their teams in ways that lead to better decisions.
  • Support our Symphony Health integration with heart, helping new and existing employees build connections, understand our culture, and feel genuinely at home in our combined team.
  • Handle employee relations matters with empathy, sound judgment, and a steady hand, creating space for people to feel heard while driving toward fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Offer clear, practical guidance on HR policies, leave, accommodations, and the People Playbook so leaders always feel informed and empowered.
  • As a lean People team, contribute to center of excellence initiatives across areas such as Total Rewards and People Operations, helping to build scalable programs, shared resources, and consistent practices that serve the broader organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 7+ years of HR Business Partner or generalist experience in a high-growth tech or data company where you have loved the pace and the people.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level. You are as comfortable shaping a talent strategy as you are coaching a people leader through a hard conversation.
  • A natural ability to build trust and genuinely influence leaders. Whether navigating a hard conversation or thinking through a bigger org challenge.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, leave and accommodations, plus the ability to explain it all in plain language.
  • Experience running calibrations, succession conversations, or leadership development programs that drive real business outcomes.
  • Comfort using people analytics and HR data to identify trends, tell stories, and inform better decisions.
  • Experience handling employee relations thoughtfully. You bring empathy, good judgment, and consistency to situations that call for all three.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to have honest, caring conversations even when the topic is hard.

Desired skills and experience

  • Experience supporting post-acquisition integration — you understand the human side of change and know how to help people from different cultures find common ground.
  • Experience partnering with commercial, go-to-market, product, or technical teams — you understand how they think and what they need.
  • A genuine passion for building inclusive, high-performing workplaces — and the initiative to make that real.

Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $160,000 - 200,000 + annual bonus opportunity.
