Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for an innovative and experienced Director - Technical Design (MAS123) to join our team. This key leadership role will focus on managing all technical aspects of our ambitious projects and initiatives, ensuring that we deliver high-quality outcomes that align with our strategic vision.
You will play a crucial role in leading your team to enhance operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that all technical requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Provide vision and direction for the technical department, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
- Mentor and develop engineering teams to enhance skills and expertise.
- Drive innovation by encouraging and implementing new technologies and methodologies.
- Project Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are completed to specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all technical aspects of projects are integrated effectively.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for improvement within technical operations and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilize data and metrics to assess performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align technical requirements with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and industry partners to support project success.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering and construction.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical operations.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain thorough documentation of technical specifications, project plans, and compliance records.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a leadership role within technical services or engineering management in large-scale development or construction projects.
- Experience applying project management methodologies and principles.
- Experience collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience driving innovation and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in technical operations.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to large-scale projects.
- Experience with risk management and problem-solving in complex environments.
- Experience preparing technical documentation and reports.
