About the role
SMX is searching for a Junior Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) / Access Control Specialist to support our government client at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Monitor secure entry points to ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
- Verify credentials and maintain detailed logs of all personnel entering and exiting secure zones.
- Maintain, organize, and update all required security paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Capture photographs of work areas to document construction progress as requested by project management.
- Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding any irregularities, unauthorized access attempts, or security concerns.
- Follow all site safety and security procedures to support a controlled and compliant work environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain Top Secret
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- The ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload
