ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Freight Broker (Carrier Sales Representative) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing carrier capacity, negotiating rates, and ensuring efficient freight movement across North America.

You will play a critical role in the execution of shipments by sourcing carriers, negotiating competitive rates, and matching capacity to demand in real time. Acting as a key link between carriers and internal teams, you will help solve day-to-day transportation challenges and ensure freight moves efficiently and on schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Source, onboard, and manage a network of carriers to support freight demand
- Utilize load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) to match freight with available capacity
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to maximize margins
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with carrier partners
- Coordinate shipment execution and ensure on-time delivery
- Communicate with carriers via phone, email, and system platforms (EDI/TMS)
- Monitor market conditions, capacity trends, and lane pricing
- Provide high-quality service to internal teams and external partners
- Identify opportunities to expand carrier network and improve efficiency
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, logistics, sales, or a customer-facing role (carrier sales or brokerage experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of North American lanes and market trends
- Strong phone presence -comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls
- Experience using load boards like DAT, Truckstop, or similar platforms
- Proven negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office and transportation systems
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is an asset
