As our People Operations Manager, you will be the expert and owner of the core programs that shape our employee experience. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will manage the full scope of our People Operations function, from systems and compliance to benefits and payroll. You will be responsible for leading complex, cross-functional projects and serving as a strategic advisor to the business on all operational matters.
Responsibilities
Functional Management & Execution
Manage the execution of key People Operations programs - including payroll, benefits, HRIS management, and compliance—ensuring operational excellence and accuracy.
Serve as the subject matter expert on our HR technology stack, leading initiatives to optimize systems and improve data integrity.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues, providing expert-level analysis and resolution.
Project & Process Improvement
Collaborate on high-impact, cross-functional projects central to People Operations, such as annual benefits open enrollment, performance management cycles, and new policy implementation.
Proactively audit and analyze existing HR processes, identifying gaps or inefficiencies, and designing and implementing scalable solutions.
Translate functional goals into actionable project plans, managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
Strategic Advisory
Act as an advisor and consultant to leaders and employees on complex employee relations issues, compensation, and policy interpretation.
Utilize people analytics to provide data-driven insights on key metrics and trends, helping to inform business decisions and measure program effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
7+ years of progressive experience in HR/People Operations.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional HR projects from initial design to successful completion.
Deep subject matter expertise in at least two of the following areas: benefits administration, compensation, HRIS management, or employee relations.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data to identify trends and influence decisions.
Expertise in California and federal employment law and a track record of ensuring company-wide compliance.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and resolve complex issues with sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B SaaS or technology environment.
Advanced proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems like ADP WorkforceNow, Workday, or BambooHR.
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.
