About the role
About Us
Spin.AI is the parent company of Revyz. Together, we are fast-growing B2B SaaS companies dedicated to cloud data protection, enterprise cybersecurity, and automated data management. We build cutting-edge cloud security and disaster recovery solutions for modern enterprises.
-
Spin.AI provides an all-in-one SaaS security platform called SpinOne that protects mission-critical data across environments like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack. Our software helps organizations stop ransomware (with an industry-leading 2-hour recovery SLA), uncover "Shadow IT" risks, and manage SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM).
-
Revyz operates as a specialized subsidiary within the Spin.AI family and is a data security and compliance platform purpose-built for the Atlassian ecosystem. Our native SaaS applications help IT and security teams automatically back up, clone, optimize, and granularly restore critical data within Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Cloud.
Summary
As a Sr. Technical Writer, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering concepts and compelling, educational content for Revyz & Spin.AI’s SaaS products. You will be working closely with engineering, product marketing, and customer enablement to create resources that don’t just document what the product does, but accelerate a user from novice to power user. Your goal is to build out a modern documentation infrastructure that drives platform adoption and builds brand trust across technical communities. Your primary goal will be to author high-quality user guides, support documentation, and tutorials that empower both internal teams and external customers to maximize the value of our products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Maintain Technical documentation Create, edit, and maintain clear, concise, and user-focused technical documentation for support pages, including user guides, release notes, knowledge base articles, process documentation, and troubleshooting FAQs.
Manage Content Lifecycle: Own the end-to-end documentation creation process, including information architecture, version control, content structures, and regular content audits to ensure accuracy as software evolves.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, QA teams, customer success, and product marketing to gather and validate highly technical information. Collaborate in daily standups, scrum ceremonies, and cross-functional product discussions to drive alignment and project momentum.
Build Interactive Client Aids: Build client aids that go beyond traditional documentation, such as scripting and recording simple product walkthroughs, use case demos, or guided tours (using tools like Loom) to assist with user onboarding and adoption.
Agile Integration: Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and utilize tracking tools like Jira, Confluence, to align documentation deliverables with product release schedules.
Training and Certifications: Create educational materials and documentation for product Certificate programs.
What We’re Looking For (Must-have):
Technical Education: Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (practical, hands-on industry experience is heavily valued).
SaaS Technical Writing Experience: 3+ years of professional technical writing experience in a software development or technology-driven environment, preferably within B2B SaaS.
Atlassian & Enterprise Tool Expertise: Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence for documentation, drafting, or project tracking, alongside a proven ability to build technical walkthroughs focused on data backup, cloning, and restoration.
Clear Writing & Rapid Learning: Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills to present complex concepts in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner, paired with a strong aptitude for quickly grasping cloud technology and cybersecurity workflows.
Visual Creation Skills: Familiarity with visual creation or screen-capture tools to integrate simple diagrams, flowcharts, or screenshots to enhance user understanding and usability.
End-to-End Workflow Documentation: Proven experience documenting software applications, system interactions, APIs, and end-to-end workflows beyond feature-level functionality.
Sample Portfolio: A small collection of writing samples (user guides, technical blogs, or documentation) proving you can write effectively for an IT, developer, or business audience.
Nice-to-Haves:
SaaS Ecosystem Exposure: Familiarity or experience navigating alternative cloud environments like Salesforce and Slack.
Cybersecurity Literacy: A conceptual understanding of SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM), enterprise data protection, or ransomware recovery workflows.
