Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Paediatric Audiologist to support NHS paediatric audiology services in Lincoln. This role is ideal for a clinician with strong expertise in paediatric audiometry for children under 5 years, working in line with NHS processes and standards. The post offers the opportunity to work within complex paediatric testing environments as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver paediatric audiological assessments for children under 5 years.
  • Perform VRA, otoacoustic emissions, and tympanometry in line with NHS protocols.
  • Assess, manage, and follow up paediatric patients with hearing difficulties.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical records.
  • Work collaboratively within paediatric audiology and MDT services.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in paediatric audiometry (essential).
  • Experience with VRA, OAE, and tympanometry for under‑5s within the NHS.
  • Minimum 3 years’ NHS experience (desirable).
  • Experience in paediatric hearing aid assessment and fitting (desirable).
  • Experience acting as a Lead Audiologist in complex paediatric settings (desirable).
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication, and organisational skills.
