For Wrisk Europe GmbH, we are actively seeking a highly skilled Insurance Operations Manager who possesses a solid background in (German) Insurance Operations.

  • Operational management and further development of Insurance Operations of existing programs
  • Support in structuring and optimising operational processes throughout the partner and customer lifecycle
  • Ensuring high quality in communication, documentation, and operational implementation in day-to-day business
  • Coordination of work streams between business, tech operations, product, insurance, and claims teams
  • Collaborating on launch preparations, operational coordination, and ongoing stakeholder management
  • Preparing analyses, reports, decision-making documents, and management summaries for internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting commercial inquiries, proposal documents, partner communication, and business development

This pivotal role demands a person who can navigate the motor insurance environment in Germany (and ideally Europe) from an insurance product delivery, performance & portfolio management, operations, and provider perspective. This will require a blend of technical and operational expertise, strategic thinking, and a keen understanding of the insurance (intermediation) marketplace.

Furthermore, collaboration will be a significant aspect of this role. You will work closely with diverse teams, including key account management, product development, underwriting, risk management, operations and technology, ensuring a cohesive approach to product and insurance partner management – in launch and run phase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, International Business, or a related field.
  • First experience in the insurance brokerage/ intermediation sector (focus: motor insurance, focus Germany) of a minimum of 2 years.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities including strong skills in tools like PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Excel etc.
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Familiarity with actuarial principles, methods, and practices, particularly in relation to motor and P&C insurance.
  • A proactive stance towards learning and keeping abreast of the latest industry advancements.
  • Multilingual (German and English at least)
